We should arrange an X-jw cruise when a large group of active j-dubs take their cruise.

Are Faders Making It Too Easy For The WT?
by ThomasCovenant ini've always tried to teach my kids to follow aesop's fable of the 'sun and the wind', i.e.
try the gentle persuasion method for achieving your goals rather than head on aggression.
however as with most things in life there is a time and place for both.

Actually I'm a little tired of things being compared to the holocaust.
Agreed, it is a bad comparison.
There was only one nazi holocaust, whereas there are many cults/sects/religions like the j-dubs that have wacked out, controlling doctrines.

Teaching a Toddler to Reason...
by jgnat ini'm working on my "unbelieving mates" book today.
i'm putting together the best ways to teach a child to reason from infancy to adulthood.
i firmly believe that a child taught to reason can be permanently inoculated against pyramid schemes, con artists, bad dates, fear-mongering, false politicians promises, quackery, and destructive religious extremism.. reasoning ability is closely tied to language development.

Hi Jgnat,
I Agree that even at the youngest of ages, reasoning can be taught. It's also the opportune time for j-dubs to do their most damaging mind control.
I recall a conversation I had with a j-dub about adopting. I expressed my desire to adopt a child. This person stated that she would only consider adoption if the child
were a baby, so that she could 'teach' this child the 'truth'. I couldn't help but think, that this person stated something painfully obvious to me. With exceptions ofcourse,
the only way for the j-dubs to gain a new member was by recruiting during a person most impressionable years(infancy)

In the hall here, there is a yearly required meeting of the local corporation™. It is held after the service meeting and in that meeting the congregation votes for the corporation officers who happen to be the same as the service committee. At my last corporation vote, when it was asked if any were against the three, I raised my hand high for all to see. If looks could kill. I was never approached about it. My nay vote didn't upset the results of the election. That kind of reminds me of how voting took place in Iraq during Saddam Hussein's reign. I recall reading an article anouncing that Hussein was re-elected into power and 100 percent of the voters had voted for Hussein. What the article didn't say was that it was required by Iraqi law that the people vote and vote only for Hussein. Not to different fromt the jw democracy, err. I mean Theocracy.
