I have a friend who swears by carrying his money in a clip, not in his waller. Maybe he got the idea from Al Pacino in "fuggagitaboutit" Donnie Brasco.

by Tyre inwhen an apostate(a) and jw having a conversation.. a : in genesis 1:26 with who was god speaking to ?
gen 1:26 and god went on to say: let us make man in our image, according to our likeness, and let them have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and the domestic animals and all the earth and every moving animal that is moving upon the earth.

The WTS understands "immortality" to mean that the person can't die nor be put to death, which is WRONG.
OK well I think they defend their definition of immortality by what Jesus said, that such a person would have "life within himself". That means self-regeneration and an anability to die, as opposed to everlasting life, which is deathless, but not "life within himself" and thus subject to death if one's external needs are not taken care of. The Watchtower will define words based on their usage in the scriptures, not what tradition or Funk & Wagnall's says.

"the bible is factual.
" i wondered, how could the speaker possibly back up such a claim?

Will Scholar's Celebrated WT Scholars answer these questions?
by Honesty incelebrated wt scholars: will you answer these questions?.
while reading the account of jesus and the samaritan woman at jacob's fountain a few questions arose that, in all sincerity i don't believe the wt scholars can answer without bringing some of their core doctrines into question:.
) why was it necessary for jesus to go through samaria?.

Um, if you really want the answers I'm sure there have been a few Watchtower articles over the years dealing with John 4. Want me to look it up on CD-ROM for you?

Well Old Soul ol' chap, I was being facetious with the JW I had engaged in IM with. I'm not really a Last Thursdayist, just as when you boil it down and ask a bornagain to dig deep and tell you what his beliefs make him, it's been my experience that they have difficulty explaining it until they run into brick walls and end up saying silly things like I did in defense of Last Thursdayism.

I'd need the eywitnesses to be independent of each other and carrying along no preferential presuppositions. Christians champion Paul's defense of himself when relating his conversion to the Roman authorities but today he'd be laughed at and tossed into the looney bin. I never did quite get if he heard or if he saw Jesus (of his "glory") anyway. edited to add since I'm out of posts for the day: The supposed eyewitnesses of Jesus who authored the gospels did a poor job getting their story straight. One has to wonder, with all the contradictions and different language (for instance, did Jesus literally say "Kingdom of Heaven" or "Kingdom of God"?) how the catholics (univeralists?) canonized them as Hoy Writ.

Scholar, please don't post and run...
by in a new york bethel minute innow, could you do us all a favour and read the replies to your post in the 607 thread?
there were a lot of questions raised by your comment and i think it would be a good witness if you would at least attempt to answer them.

It's also a sure sign you're wasting your time. The 607/587 is so played out it's ridiculous to even argue it now. let scholar pretendus have his treasured Gentile Times dating. There's no convincing him otherwise and the rest of us know the truth. Sorry Jeff, don't mean to offend. If you're having fun, keep at it then.

Your quote makes the point the blood components and sometimes blood vessels themselves do cross the placental barrier.
I'm afraid you aren't reading what is written very well.
If al alternative to chemo was found to work better I'd heartily support it. What's your point? Oh I know, bloodless surgery works better. Well in many cases it does. But after my open heart surgery I was given an infusion (or transfusion) of a plasma solution derived from human stored blood. If the water was removed from it, any JW could conscientiously accept the proteins involved. The JWs have made silly, inconsistent rules, down to technically allowing red cells minus their membranes. Like another poster said, JWs do not by any stretch of the imagination abstain from blood, except in their wallets and minds.
Now, do the Holy Scriptures command the congregation to disfellowship people who accept non-approved blood-derived treatment or therapy because it is its responsibility to do keep itself clean before man and God or not? If yes, why don't JWs do that any longer? If no, why did they do it for some 40 years?

agrees that the third year of Danoiel regers tho the last three year period of Jehoiakim's reign of eleven years. There is little point of me ridiculing Jonsson to you because you have nbot bothered to read his book tothe point of not owning a copy.
Where is COMF's "Eb'dee eb'dee eb'dee" whe we need it?

root, going off the top of my head at 3:20 in the morning, the circulatory systems between mother and fetus are separate due to mostly immunological reasons. But occasionally red cells do pass through the placenta, as well as plasma proteins. The WT position on this is inconsistent at best, and regardless of it, my main concern is the organizational standards set in 1961 as displayed as direct directives from the Bible, but now they aren't. You seem to have been strangely quiet on that matter I raised a few days ago. edit: oh and root, you might want to check this page, if you're as lazy as I am this late at night http://www.ajwrb.org/basics/crumbles.shtml
