often i notice people around here, driving slowly in front of each garbage can, on trash day, and some stop to pick up things that they think they can sell and make money with or for themselves.. have you ever done this or witnessed it?
My dad would take me "dumpster diving" a couple times a month in the wealthy neighborhoods... Then once a year we would have a huge yard sale... Needless to say when I turned about 13 I quit going with him...
Though when I was 15-17, My friends & i would raid construction dumpsters for lumber to build half-pipes for skateboarding... Sometimes we would wait till late, when the workers were gone to snatch up some full sheets of ply-wood to cover the ramps...
i am going to start this debate of by saying that those of us who were raised in the so called truth, and i being one of them, can only come to terms with our past by accepting that our parents infected our minds like a virus infects a computer.
we wouldn't categorise children according to their parents' political stance, since they are too young to make up their minds about such matters.
but they (jw) segregate them from the world.

The only "supernatrual" experiences I've had were with psychedelic compounds...
this also leads me to ask, What is the validity of shamanistic supernatrual experiences? whether it be ancient shaman' using plants, of modern shaman using synthetic/designer compounds....
the most i've ever ingested was about approximatly 1/10th of a gram of LSD (1000 doses)... I will say, I did not plan on taking that much... but when I found myself in that situation (jail for a long time, or an indefinate trip) there was only one option... I can only be thankful that I had it in a raw form (don't think I could have eaten a whole page/sheet of paper)
I'll say this though... I would not trade that experience for anything

one of the first things that i realized after i left the organization was that i could actually have human heroes who weren't bible characters.
now this will give you an idea of how much of a nerd i am, but the first person i began to idolize as a 17-18 year old teenager was richard p. feynman, the mid 20th century theoretical physicist.
of course, now i'm on my way to becoming a physicist myself, although i'm going into the experimental side instead of theory.

Now, as far as the rest of you go. I have just always found it amazing how quick one gets stepped on for voicing an opinion that goes against the common train of thought. I have lurked here for years, before I posted, and it has always amazed me that those that claim to be the most tolerant are actually the least.

The last time I looked I could voice an opinion about any topic. At least it used to be that way in the America I knew.

Stoned guy: drive where man? oh dude i'm to stoned to drive... yeah I( got the munchies too, but i ain't driving no where man....
Alchohol CAN make SOME people become violent... I can't think of last time I saw a cannabis smoker become violent...
Also I'm an artist... I know for a fact that I can Draw much better if I smoke a little, but if i drank I would not be able to draw at all.
By the way, When i'm actually blowing glass I DO NOT SMOKE! playin' with fire and all...
