I always wondered about this. I was a FTP back in the '70's in a territory that we covered at least once every 2 months. I've lived in 20 major cities since being DF'd and I can remember being called on ~2 times in all those years. At the same time I've been called on by Mormans & various others many, many times. I would be interested to hear why this is happening. My parents (father a PO, if that's what they still call them) apparently are still out there thumping. Was I really a locust for nothing?

They finally found me...
by P&C inknock on the door this morning.... a nice little witnoid lady is at my door... hands me a tract (i think it was a memorial invite)...and says.... "i'd like to give you an invitation to an "event"...that the whole community is talking about".... how sad... they resort to lying and misrepresentation... on the simplest of matters.. i handed it back and said no thanks... she turned and left.. that is the first contact the borg has had with me in almost 5 years... hope it's another 5 before i see one again.... p&c.

she took a huge mortgage out on her house which was completely paid for.

I am about to face a similar situation and you are getting some good advice. My no. 1 advice to help your mother is not let feelings get in the way of this. There are leeches in the pond and that means this is strictly business. Bravo on getting a lawyer (I hope a good one). Just remember this, if they want your help then you are in charge. Take as much control as needed including the house. The deadbeats listed need to get a day job or no deal. Having been in the borg for many, many years I know the guilt trips (I'm a pioneering janitor, I'm sick, etc). Help your Mom, take control, lay down the law. It sounds like you're ont the right track. Good luck to you.

You got off light! Does anyone remember the International convention in '69? As I recall it was 8 days long. It started at 9:00 AM and got out at 9:00 PM. I was only 12 so I don't remember much of the content. Just absolutely mind numbing. I do recall that I had my first thoughts along the lines of "I BETTER live forever on a paradise earth to live through this". The food was total crap and I remember after sitting in blazing sun on on wooden stadium seats that all I had to drink was some cool aid in a tiny dixie cup. I found out the other day that the DC is only 3 days long now? WTF!
