now that they have merged how do you like it.

having been a dj back in the late 70's early 80's, i loved to listen to the 70's on 7 on xm.

the morning dj john clay was excellent.

Now that they have merged how do you like it. Having been a DJ back in the late 70's early 80's, I loved to listen to the 70's on 7 on XM. The morning DJ John Clay was excellent. His knowledge of the bands and laid back style was refreshing. Unfortunately he and many others got the ax this week. The new guy in the mornings is just pitiful. Yelling and corny jokes. Just my opinion.

Their website was one of the first I used to visit to listen to many of the tape recordings of others that left the WT. It was here I heard Ed Dunlaps tape. The way the WT treated him was just awful. My prayers and thoughts will be with him for a quick and healthy recovery.

bad day today...how the hey did everyone miss this??

?....or did i miss a post about it?.....i am not supposed to talk about anything jw with my hardcore jw wife...but while on the toilet takin care of biz..i was reading the lit she leaves in a basket...it was a wt..july 08, but dont know which one....once i showed it to her it disappeared...but damm the last page i think... it had a drawing of jesus and the text under it said this "jesus used the name jehovah in his prayers"....or close....and that is a fluckkin lie!...zero support for it!...so i said just freakin show me where he did...i think my pants were still down...i had already come to terms with the fact that jesus never once uttered the name jehovah ever...because what kid...esp in a serious discussion with his dad (like prayer) would ever call him by his first name???

?...she disagreed...how i dont know...but where is the evidence that jesus ever said the divine name in a prayer?!?!!??

OMPA, If I'm not mistaken ( I don't know what scripture it is ) anyway the one that says "All those calling on the name of Jehovah will be saved". I think the context here was talking about Jesus. I may be wrong but if I'm not then inserting Jehovah here would be a huge mistake. Maybe some of our NT scholars can elaborate on this scripture?

Thanks for your story. The society plays on the HOLY SPIRIT in many areas, like it really has anything to do with it. My brother for example would tell me how he used to put 100+ hours on his field service reports during the 70's even though he only had 30 or so hours, so he could become a servant. Sure enough within a year he was appointed a ministerial servant. Holy Spirit my ass. Good luck in your new future Bona.

Congrats on the baby. Even though you could show them all the evidence in the world about how many times the WTS has cried wolf about the end ( starting with 1914 being the end when they taught the Jesus returned in 1874 ) They just wont buy it. My own sister hung up the phone on me when I started to tell her about the UN scandal. She flat out said it never happened. How do deal with that when they are so brainwashed not even to discuss issues? Hang in there. Hopefully hubby will find other work soon.
