  Subtle (or not so subtle) ways you've been invited to memorial

  what are the most subtle, or least subtle ways your family members have tried to invite you to memorial.

  2 years ago my mother put the invitation by my chair and it sat there for several weeks without being touched or moved.

  last year she asked if i would come if she made a special effort to come pick me up.

  Did any of you head off to University after leaving the org

  one of my biggest regrets is not getting a degree, due to the jw brain-washing against higher education.

  i feel a strong sense of never having reached my academic potential and having been restricted in many ways by this.

  i was a high achiever at high school + some teachers were bemused that i never went on to varsity.

  My exScientology friend...

  i have a friend who backed out of scientology way back when hubbard was still alive.

  we go to lunch together quite often here at work.

  we have often commented about the great similarity & difficulty between breaking away from wt and from the scientologists.

  the only thing that sucked about it was the fact that i had no idea how to wrap a gift... late 20's and i've never wrapped a present before????

  Did you ever go out in Field Service on Thanksgiving or Christmas morning

  i never had a problem with going door to door except for the holidays.. one, i felt like we were intruding on our neighbors who set aside time be with their loved ones.. two, it just made me feel more different and jealous that i was not celebrating the holidays with my family.. any thoughts?
