I checked out all of those other insurance plans and still found the best bet for me to be with State Farm. And I have been with them for over ten years so I can't be canceled. I only put on about 5000 miles a year. You can tell I do no field service, door knocking is for the birds!

Water fasting is beneficial for body and spirit
by greendawn inright now i am doing a water fast (just drinking water, no food), and for a few days more.
surprisingly after 48 hours i am not feeling weak or cranky, instead i feel revitalised and relaxed, free from moods and disruptive emotions.
some doctors say it's a great way to detoxify but it is more its ability of clarifying up the spirit that motivates me.

I've heard thats how Karen Carpenter got her start! Do you know why they had trouble selling her home???.....................................................No Kitchen!
Fasting is a good thing though, I was just joking around!

I don't have periods, but it kind of sounds like it. I think there are a lot of people out there who would rather have a period than go to one of those meetings!

Hi, First of all good luck on your journey. I know its easy for me to say if you don't want to go then don't. The best thing is that you are thinking about the whole thing. Now that my mom is gone there are no more JW's in our family. I enjoy being able to not have to deal with that part of her life anymore. If one has JW's in the family, I can see the struggle. Keep up on the board, do research on your own, listen to that voice inside of you, you will make the move when the time is right. What I think is sad is that I have seen some of the people on the board who left the JW's and then left all faith in God. I can see that happening in some people, but no matter what, God loves all. He doesn't have feelings for only one group, He loves all who believe in him. Peace, Dave

If you want to believe that this system is coming to an end I say thats terrific! I have some land in the new system of things that is for sale at a real cheap price. Just send me 1 million dollars and it will be yours but do it soon as the kingdom could happen any time now

my story
by fordulant inhi, i found this discussion forum and felt a need to tell my story, and prehaps talk to people who have an understanding of what it feels like and means to be brought up a jehovahs witness.
i was practically born into a jehovahs witness family, there was my mother, my sister and myself, my father (a non-believer) left when i was 3. i can remember my mum telling me that i would never get to school as armagedden would be here before then, then i can remember her saying that i would never get to high school as armagedden would be here.... it was a kind of running theme, mum always lived expecting the end of the world the next day.
mum re-married when i was 6 and her new husband quickly became an elder in the congregation, i also gained 2 step-sisters and a step-brother, who did not live with us but their mother who was not a jw.

First of all Welcome to the forum. This is a place that you can experience healing. The part that I am most happy with you about is that you got out before it was too late. You could have had children and why put them through all this. Be happy, I found a mainsteam religion and totally love it. If you look around you can find peace with God and you will never be unhappy you did that, again welcome, Dave
