Take a butterfly collection -- the butterflies are not impaled on the board; they are impaled on the pin. If Jesus had been impaled on a stake, he would have had the stake THROUGH him. The other thing that really gets me about this is that I don't see how a whole group of wordsmiths could have made a mistake like this. It had to be intentional.

I don't think it's the members. We all have our weaknesses that can be exploited by nasty people/groups. I guess we could avoid that, but we shouldn't have to be suspicious of everybody and everything all the time. Just my two cents.

there are institutions that track the various charities and religious organizations so that people can determine which ones are honest about their finances.. how does the watchtower society fare in this regard?
