Dutchie, I was baptized in '62, but had "dedicated" myself in '60.
Makes me a reasonably good candidate, eh?

if not checked, this causes dissension among spiritual brothers and hinders their efforts to serve jehovah shoulder to shoulder.this is so because murmurers invariably voice their complaints, doubtless hoping that others will sympathize with them.
Big Tex "Do you realize that as of now, we can think anything we want, read anything we want, talk with whomever we want and most importantly, be whatever kind of person we want. We couldn't before. Bizarre and amazing, ain't it?"
IT COMPLETELY BLOWS ME AWAY!!
I never even imagined that life could be this good, this free, this exhilirating!

LOL...as a matter of fact, YES! One night, when I was about 12, my folks were driving us home from Memorial, and they had the "leftovers." Us 3 boys asked if we could see the bread, and they even let us eat some of it...said it wasn't "special" anymore.

Fantasy?
Self-delusion?
Climbing the ladder?

to be able to properly "encourage one another, more so as you behold the end drawing near", we as jw's were instructed to do the following: .
(1) stay after the meeting for "upbuilding association", and .
(2) rather than talk about mundane things of life, discuss the finer points of the meeting just held.
Chalk this up to being the total JW that I was:
I DID like to explore the "finer points" of a talk, often taking others (a very few, but still) to the KH library and looking up refs, etc. When I went to get-togethers, I usually tried to get into a conversation about "spiritual" matters. I didn't like all the talk about sports, cars, blah blah blah...what did THOSE have to do with the impending Armageddon?
Needless to say, I was considered the life of the party. LOL

Don't say it out loud...you'll get hammered
Don't say it under your breath...you'll get hammered
Don't even think it...you'll get hammered
The sensitive and loving organizational arrangement provided by the hand of Jehovah through the Faithful and Discreet Slave is always looking out for the best interests of the flock.
WHAT A CROCK!
I am more and more DESPISING that oppressive religion in which I was raised, and I never thought I could/would ever feel this way. Love the people, HATE the org.

also, i know there are so many informative books out there written by exjws, i although have not read any yet, as i just started my research, although i have a book given to me by a friend of mine, that i started reading yesterday, and i couldn't hardly put it down!!!
it's "jehovah's witnesses, watch out for the watchtower" -- written by an exjw gordon e. duggar.
i think it was published in mid 1980's, a very informative book!
CC: My own experience...I've read lots of books, from Thirty Years a Watchtower Slave and on, but what has by far had the biggest impact on my post-dub life is learning from and sharing with the fantastic folks in this forum.
"Getting Stronger Everyday!!!"
You BETCHA!

my digital camera will be back from the hospital by this weekend - i was wondering if i might be able to get pics of the local wt grunts as they set off to harrass the likes of the stonewalling unclebruce.
my question: do car groups always meet at the kh before leaving, or are there other meeting places?
is it up to individual car groups where they meet?
Nice wallpaper.
my dear know_you: .
having been moved by your recent posts, i find myself terrified by my precarious position as one associated with scurrilous apostate scum.
i have supped at the table of demons, cavorted with the devious likes of farkle, alanf, seven006, ginnytosken, and others of their ilk.
<<taking Know_You off my ignore list>>
KY, you are a RASCAL!!!
Care to talk again about 2-dimensional existence? Maybe quantum mechanics?
