Katie will be flying up to Portland in about three weeks, and will probably scream when she sees my bachelor apartment! LOL

things went pretty well today.
my daughter was doing some laundry, underwear and such, for her mom, and she was a bit late to get me and her to the hospital.
hours start at eleven and we go there about noon.
I'm so relieved, and very very glad for you both. The only better news I can imagine is that this had not happened at all. Wishing for Zazu's quick and complete recovery.

last night, my wife zazu, had a stroke.
she is in the hospital, and will be there for a least a week.
she can still think clearly and converse.
My heartfelt concerns are with you both and Zazu, and my deepest hope for her complete recovery.

i'm still blown away by it.
when i went out the door this morning to take the kids to school (7:15 a.m.) i turned on my cell phone and there were two messages from his retirement home, both saying that he had fallen at about 4:30 a.m. and was being taken to the hospital.
i called the hospital and they told me that he said he had taken 18 xanax in an effort to kill himself.

I'm glad your Dad has a level-headed caring YOU to watch out for him. So many people in retirement homes are all alone. Your love and loyalty for him are a testimony to your character, and also to him, a testimony that there IS true love outside the org.
You both have my very best hopes, and a prayer, too.
