One can only hope.
Its going to cause the very blind to continue on as strong as ever
It's going to cause the unsure to have horrible CD and fight their true feelings
It will likely cause those waking, to accelerate.
i was thinking that maybe the monthly broadcasts are a occasion for some jw's to wake up.
before those broadcasts they probably imagined that the gobgoverning y members are some very special peopleand that you see in their behavior and words that they are "chosen".
but now all jw's can see them for who they really are: average men, some full of themselves, some ridiculous, some just normal men with nothing special.
One can only hope.

so i am a little tangled up in this train of thought, as it can go quite deep.. as a jw, albeit fully awake, we are taught that there is right and a wrong.
smoking is wrong.
going on the ministry is right.
Anytime your morality must come from an external source based on ego of some sort, it's going to get twisted. What do morals do? really they make for a stronger society, healthier society. The dogma of religion, specifically the big three from Abraham, dabble some of this in with a lot of nonsense. Being kind to your neighbor, being a decent person, those things get lost in religions idea of right and wrong, then you have extremists committing great wrongs. Because YHWH, God, Allah always includes a 'but' or 'if'. It gives a loophole for great evils.
"Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion."-Steven Weinberg
during the wt session, the org admits that the actions of eldubs can cause an eventual shortage of "qualified " brothers, and it has.
they speak of a lack of teaching as the cause.
in reality, it's the legalism and control issues within the org itself that have caused a shortage of men who are willing to reach out.
so this is only my second post but its about something that has been on my mind for awhile now.
have any of you ever felt the need to pray or speak to a higher power?
do any of you beleive that we were created or have evolved with a "spiritual need"?
quote from the watchtower, simplified edition, september 2015, "how can we show that we love jehovah?".
higher education often makes them lose their love for god..

from my own observations & conversations with selected active j.w.
's, here are my conclusions:.
's are very rapidly falling into two distinct camps -.
I agree.
I think that second group though is frightened or tired or something. And they will just do their time and follow cult rules until the croak. Content to wait on yhwh.
though i now consider myself a secular buddhist, i just realized today that i'm okay with trying to pursue the qualities mentioned by paul as the "fruitage of the spirit.".
the only one i take issue with is "faith" in the context of religion.
what are your thoughts on the matter?.
It's kind of the same way people talk about all morals of the bible. Like the bible was the origin of all morality. I agree they are good to peruse. But like the logical parts of the ten commandments they would be good human qualities if, or if not the bible ever existed. Really the Egyptians did a much better job (and before the bible) of codifying decent behavior.
