Addressing life's big questions
by nelim insomething else i noticed in the awake 2016.2 magazine: very interesting that on page 6 and 7 "life's big questions" they basically pose two:1. science ... cannot define sexual morality.2.
science ... cannot make moral decisions on the embryo’s right to life.but actually, science can: it's called ethics, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ethics.
kant introduced some interesting concepts how to think about what should be morally right, see deontology.more interesting though for me here is why these two?

1. SCIENCE ... cannot define sexual morality.
simple, "sexual morality" is not scientific or necessary. Its an idea spawned by bronze age goat herders.
the limits should have some kind of practical purpose, ie; don't have sex with kids!. don't rape people. These are crimes that have been pretty well established. People's choice of who they sleep with if anyone, doesn't need laws outside of the criminal acts of rape and child molestation.
2. SCIENCE ... cannot make moral decisions on the embryo’s right to life.
The witness common fallacy of saying well science can't do his and that is so damn stupid. What is science?
the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment.
What does that have to do with moral decisions?? Abso-f-cking-lutely nothing. Its purpose is not to solve the worlds moral dilemmas. 'Science can't stop war" ..."can't end sickness and death" "...it can't remove the stain of sin..." oh my lord... its not suppose to!!!

Personally I don't even acknowledge the Jdub stuff. Everyone has different circumstances, some choose to come across as discouraged, I try to do the opposite. Show them how happy, healthy and great you are without the cult.
Hey thanks.. im great, these cool things are happening, im doing this, nice to hear from you, how are things with you??
lol. I wont play into the return to big J model the organization has sold to them, that we are discouraged and left. I'm happy as hell on this side

well, i am back and still thoroughly conflicted, with my heart/loyalties as divided as ever.
please welcome me back, hear me out, and make me feel as welcomed as before.. the wtbts has changed so very much in recent years that i feel trapped in a completely different religion altogether.

One thing I no longer do is pray.
its true, baby steps can be good. Some people are in a situation they can just cut everything in one big swoop. Everyone has different circumstances. By doing it progressively you can see the ones that will stick by you regardless (family or friends). I had a lot of family and very good friends I didn't want to alienate with an in your face DA. And you know what, as faded as I am, the good ones are still good with me. No issues.
I stopped praying ages ago, then I stopped going out in service cold turkey, but I kept turning in a slip, for less and less hours, then one day I was like "here we go". I turned in nothing. Then meetings, I stopped attending midweek meeting. Now at the most I attend a handful of Sundays with the wife to not be a jerk. I think that is ok for now. It reaffirms to me when I am there how dumbed down this thing is.
And like i said before there are bumps but once you pass them you will thank yourself. Just remember fear is a liar, we often create much bigger issues in our mind than happen in real life. So you are doing good just make sure you stay consistent and it will get easier and easier and you will feel better.
A few things to keep in mind, you don't owe anyone an explanation for anything. Its your life, your beliefs and how you exercise them are up to you. They can take the pressure and rules of their joke-ass megachurch cult and shove them right up their self righteous asses. Fade and protect it. You don't need to share anything with them, you just need to show them you are happy living your life. PM me if you ever need some advice.

Start small but always be progressing away. Constant steps out. You may experience some bumps, but the further away you get the better you will feel -

Welcome back!
I can honestly say that in the congregations I am not alone so we of like minds keep each other company while enduring the misery of the Organization.
this is what i am suspecting is growing daily.

A lot of "forbidden" talk is going on among witnesses
by nevaagain inme and my wife are still "in".
we had the "talk" a couple of times, but shet is not ready to leave yet.
while a couple of years ago she started crying on the thought that i am an "apostate" and even gave me an ultimatum until she would rat me out to the elders (never happened), now i sense that she might is a little bit more open to the the thought to leave one day .... anyway, all out friends and family are still in the truth and whenever we are meeting with other witnesses topic #1 is always the recent changes to the meetings / conventions (reduced to one day) which always lead to the changes to the magazines and the recent lay offs of the special pioneers and bethelites.

Some people will hang on to those thought blocking things to no end.
"No matter what its god's organization"
When things are great, the big J is blessing things
When they suck he's seeing who will stay loyal
Typical witness behavior to put any criticism in a lose lose situation

Reading the book of Enoch found some gems.
by Crazyguy infirst off the book of enoch or at least some of it's writings we're found among the dead sea scrolls.
this to me proves that this book was as important to the jews back then as any other.
in the book a few things i noticed.

I've always found this text interesting as well.
This to me proves that this book was as important to the Jews back then as any other.
This plus the book of Enoch is quoted in the bible book of James.
