Any weapons enthusiasts here?

i knew i had a couple of firearms around the house, and one in the car.

however, i didn't realize i had seven, yes, seven of them, when i proceeded to count them.

the reason for that is that i haven't gone to the shooting range in years.

Since I mentioned the guns I have let me mention a few more things.
- I have a gun safe, and carry permit
- I am NOT a member of the NRA, nor do I support them, and I really don't care about their "agenda"
- I do not post all over my social media myself surrounded by guns
- I don't wear daisy duke's, i don't drive a lifted truck, I wear suits and drive a benz
- I've never screamed "yeehaaa!" when firing a gun.
- I like guns, I am not a "gun nut". No one here knows the environment I was raised in and why guns became a normal part of my life.
- I know guns are not toys
- I believe more laws relating to background checks and firearm identification WILL dramatically reduce deaths and are necessary.
- If guns were banned, I'd still have a gun.
- And I know everyone has opinions on them, I only have opinions for myself. Opinions don't change anything, only actions and I can only control my actions.
- I don't thing the size or number of guns I own has anything to do with enhancing my manhood, only genetics can have a say on that.
- I don't believe everyone who owns a guns should, or is smart enough to won one. yes that is scary.
- For every dislike my above post about what I own gets, I will throw away one of my guns. not really, because as I said before opinions don't do anything. Only actions.

did any of us ever find real joy in being at the meetings?

did any of us ever finish a meeting and think "i feel so enriched"?

even now, if i go on a Sunday with the wife (to be nice), a good portion of the elder body spends the time in the back and outside talking about "building maintenance" and other BS during the meeting. No one likes this shit

Magnum Research Baby Eagle .40 For home.
Used to have a Taurus. 357. That was great one. Also a ruger mark iv .22. Super fun and accurate.
Of course I have a wish list a mile long. But its really impractical, not enough time and money at the moment also its sort of silly. But when you like something you always want a variety in your collection.
The forum can judge me now lol.

I'd never take the stance of sunning a JW family member and sink to their level on using it as a punishment. But when it comes to friends, family, or anyone who is WILLFULLY cutting me off, I will not chase them, I will not help them. It is a form of enabling. They are toxic, toxic relationships should be kept at a proper distance for your own mental & in this case financial health. I'd tell them kindly sorry, no can do. Why would you help someone who is essentially abusing you?

Sorry about all that stress. That's is really ugly and shallow of them. Tell them you heard prayer works, try that. I wouldn't give them a dime.

I am now watching as my wife comes to the realization that these people are shallow and unloving UNLESS you behave according to their agenda.
I am in a similar boat at this moment. She sees it I believe. But I am sure she is afraid to dig into TTATT. Those roots are deep and painful when you have to sort through it. I have reassured her that if and when she needs someone to discuss it with I am hear and I know how hard it can be to feel alone in waking up. But I think she has seen the organization is not all her former pioneer self thought it was cracked up to be, and that it does in fact create miserable judgmental people.
I know people that are witnesses that seem to resist that urge to be that way, but like you said, they are just good people in general.

Word spreading back home

you all know how much jws loooove to gossip.

so...i just finished a email conversation with one of my self-righteous, super jw relatives back home.

let me preface this conversation by saying this relative is someone i don't communicate with, at all.

I had been through similar things.
Gossip spread so fast, across the whole country. I had a conversation with a few family members, and the whole rest of my large family quickly disappeared off all social media, and ceased speaking to me.
And when they dig and pry about who told you this and that. Or what you believe, or why you don't go to meetings anymore, just remember you are out of that shit now and its none of their business. You don't owe anyone any explanation. All I will say is its personal, I am happier and healthier than ever, the end. Don't play their games anymore.
