this statement may seem odd at first.

you may think of jehovah's witnesses as being an american religion in a country where freedoms exist and are prized.

you may think of the organization's legal battles in the supreme court to protect certain rights and freedoms.

Its true, they champion themselves as defenders of the right to practice whatever religion you chose, but deny it to members.

Multi culturism is amazing.

F*cked up religio-political ideas are not.

The world needs to admit that 'Islam/Muslim' is not a race not a culture and not a religion but a dangerous ideology. Its anti culture because it doesn't accept any other ones. If someone moves into your neighborhood and subscribes to sharia, they don't like or want your culture. That's is a fact.

Regardless of what religion he was, if this was just a "spree shooting", radical or not, it may become more regular.

See in America when a spree shooting occurs the real underlying issues are buried under mountains of left and right gun argument propaganda. But here a maniac carried out a spree shooting in one of the most gun prohibitive places on earth with an illegal gun. The spree shooting copycat phenomenon fueled by media immortalization of other attacks always gets swept under the carpet because its a harder discussion.

I still have my money on some kind of radicalization if not just an admiring maniac of recent carnage by radicals.

it might just be me imagining things.. i hear things from my jw spies.. from all that's being said, it seems to me that the rank and file(tm), are either waking up to the scam and fading/leaving.

they are going full on 'cult mode' and acting like 'spiritual police'.. is it just me and my imagination?

Elders harassing me

hi everyone, it has been a while since i've last updated!

(refer to my previous posts for the full story) here is a quick re-cap: 2 months ago my mother found out that i am living with my boyfriend, she told me i was discovered by an "anonymous" tipper who turned me in for "living in sin".. first of all, that is nearly impossible, the congregation i was in is 100's of miles away from where i currently live.. no one would have ever known i was living with my boyfriend unless i told them, which i never did, i cut off all communication with that congregation in part of my attempted fade which was blown into pieces and discovered.. anyways, my mom tells me if i don't go to the elders and confess like a good little sheep, then she is obligated to tell them.. ( don't see why, i don't even live under her roof ) well i never went to them because why should i?

so they met with my mother and she told them i live with my boyfriend... let me remind you, this was two months ago.. i was told i was going to be df'd and that was that.

Why are anniversaries allowed but not birthdays?

the scripture quotes aside, i was always told that we don't celebrate birthdays because that is a celebration of the self, which has no place in jehovah's organization.

then why celebrate anniversaries?

anniversary celebrations are about the joining of two selves, isn't that twice as selfish?.

2. Why would the Desert god go out of his way to make all the petty and silly prohibitions in the mosaic law and NOT say, don't celebrate birthdays. Not just the mosaic law, but the whole god damn bible.
