Young baptism a double standard with marriage?
by thedepressedsoul ini remember tons of young ones getting counseled for being too young to date and for marriage.
the elders said, "marriage is the 2nd biggest dedication of your life (baptism being 1st), at 20 you still don't know who you are or what you want.
you can't possibly make a decision like that, that young!

"who really is the faithful and discreet slave?"....
if that is correct, and this scripture has been thoroughly de-bunked in many other threads, then the fact is the emporer has no clothes on!.

Hoser is right. No matter what the majority need someone telling them what to do. Even if the ideas are so fantastic they are crazy. Or the person telling them what to do is obviously corrupt. Reality us too much for most. Don't forget that. -

I agree with this being a giant double standard. When I was a 9ish my mom told me that Armageddon was soon (89-90) and soon I'd be old enough that I would be accountable and not her. So god might not spare me despite her Being baptized and obedient any longer.

Good post. But I doubt you'd see much of that. Chlisten at that age are very dependant on their parents and adults around them. The fear of being ostracized would be an overwhelming thought for someone so young. It's hard for us grownups to lose association with loved ones. Dfing works on fear and kids especially in the org are raised in a persecution complex atmosphere of fear! It's all they know. I still think most wouldnt act against their billion year contract until teen years. But yes the whole thing is sick. I was baptized at 15 and it was almost like I was late to that party and still I regret it and feel I was not equipped to make such a binding decision. Jesus f%@#ing christ was 30! -

The Denver story I heard a few different ways in the WITNESS URBAN LEGEND tradition, one involved Johnny Carson, who was hailed as a champion of the witnesses, who came to their defense and hired many according to the legend, in fact there was a specific confrontation related between Denver and Carson.

Just from speaking to many super in people, they talk about their whole life being a waste if its not the truth.
Now if it all crashed down to the point of nonexistent people ARE going to kill themselves, who and how many, not sure.
I liken it to the Matrix and waking people up, some people just couldn't handle it if they are not prepared, even for us who were prepared, we often go through a great deal of psychological distress, imagine those that are no where near that.

Do a little research on kaizen theory. Great way to approach big change through small steps. It's often used in business, but it's works in life too. If you focus on the big overhaul it's goning to give you an anxiety attack. Maybe for now forget all the rest and concentrate on getting out of the MS thing in a quiet safe way that won't cause you to trigger and unload ttatt on the elders or wife. Then when that's settled move to another small step.
