Are atheists more likely to be morally good than Christians?
by FusionTheism ini have no problem saying atheists and christians are equal.. but some people seem to have the belief that atheists are more likely to be morally good, or more likely to change the world for good, than christians and theists.. but what evidence do you have to support this claim?.
if atheism is what causes people to do great positive things for the world, then why weren't martin luther king, jr., william wilberforce, isaac newton, francis collins, barack obama, mother theresa, abraham lincoln, or john f. kennedy atheists?.

good stuff
I have no problem saying atheists and Christians are EQUAL.
I think all of us would agree FT all humans are equal, all ideas however are not. And when you get it through your head that Christian is not a 'person' it's a set of ideals, maybe you will understand that. We should never be afraid to call an idea bad when it clearly harms hundreds and hundreds of millions over thousands of years.

Never heard that, I think you are mistaking the SOURCE of morality in each group.
If i don't steal because I am afraid to violate the ten commandments or if I don't steal because I genuinely don't want to cause harm to someone else, it doesn't matter what you believe, the second reason is more intrinsic morality and not extrinsic.
there are good and bad christians
there are good and bad atheists
In either group if someone is doing good for the right reason what difference does it make what they believe???
I just feel you post this crap to instigate, but whatever here I am contributing to this nonsense.
It always comes back to this, religion is dangerous and capable of twisting morals:
“Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.”

Interesting article considering what's happening begging for money in the congregations
by JakeM2012 inhttp://www.cnn.com/2015/06/14/us/sunday-stickup/index.html.
i thought this article had some interesting interesting comments including this, "if a pastor or church leader has ever told you that the bible commands christians to tithe or give 10% of their income; hit you up for multiple offerings during one service; made you march up front to give; asked you to donate to a mysterious "building fund" or give a "first-fruit" offering; or even given special recognition to big givers in your congregation, lee and other pastors have a message for you:.
you are getting played.. these rituals, they say, violate new testament teachings about how and why people should give.

The widow part was awesome. And his part in quotes about mystery building funds and first fruits sounds like he watched the May broadcast.
if he hasn't I would like to try and reach out to him to get his take on our Mr Lett.
to me the widow thing is bombshell for the may money beg.

Very Offensive Statement Directed To JW Parents-Watchtower 4/15/2015 Page 11 Paragraph 9
by JW GoneBad inwt is insinuating, worse yet, blaming senior jw parents for there not being more younger brothers reaching out to be ministerial servants and elders.
page 11 paragraph 9 reads as follows: .
"elders in affluent lands may face an added challenge: how to motivate baptized brothers in their 20s or 30s to get involved in congregation activities.

The MS's (at least in some halls I've been in) do the heavy lifting and crap work. Basically elders bitches, if they get appointed elders and all the bitches turn into elders, who will lick the elders @$$hole??? That's why they don't push them. Really leaders always make more leaders. Crap leaders (elders) protect their position with utmost insecurity. -

Who's will is it?
by freemindfade inin our super cappy fallacious public talk today.

Nelim I get what you are saying. In this talk though he was basically emphasizing (way too much) humans are capable of so much art. Music. Science science and technology. But we will never be capable of living our lives by our own will. So what's the point? Are we just creative robots? -

I even told the wife (a pioneer diehard) I hope that "learners" doesn't become ingrained in jw terminology. She agreed.
Your average rank and file reads this trash and thinks it spew out of the butt in golden clouds of the gb. Truth be told it's writing department shleps who do all this. I knew them. If they had any idea who was dictating their faith and life to them ...

We spoke to elder from... Africa. Europe...and um... hogwarts...and parmastan....and places. And all these brother from all these various places gave one singular vague general assertion.... BULLSHIT. Liars. There was no survey. This was elementary propaganda on the same level of the may money broadcast. Lacking any validity.
