anyway, i've been getting texts from jw's about the australia news.

the general census is that the jw's are very, very confused.

This thing is gonna be going on for many more days and the its getting attention and serious hits, it could make it to more and more mainstream media. Im impressed with the amount of exposure its had in two days, wonder how it will look a week from now?

And yes it is in Australia, but it is an American religion (eh hem cult), that has worldwide reach and controversy over the years. People find witnesses odd and generally wouldn't pay much attention, but the media feeds peoples hunger for scandal and bad news and atrocities (sad but true). So i am not surprised this could reach far outside Australia.

It is utterly inappropriate, for anyone to be isolated in a JC, especially a victim of sex crime. Its disgusting.

Vidiot, i am surprised, my memories going up in this organization I heard about it constantly. My friend and I used to go stay at someones house when we were younger, years later it came out he raped all his kids. years later I met him again, an active jdub. Creepy sob. I'm an inactive jw. My name isn't on the bible study group list. I don't turn in time. I'm and atheist and like to sin.

Nevertheless. I am always inviting the "brothers and sisters" over to my house and treating them with great love. How do you like that! In fact as a co told me once. I was known for hospitality to the Bros and sisters and set the example. Ironic that I also think the religion bunk. Maybe that has something to do with it

That sums up the RC bit on return to jehovah. Those who doubt or change mind or question are not included in jehovahs love or the congregation.

mrs phizzy ran into a jw lady from a neighbouring congo who has known us since we were teenagers, before we married, sometime in the pleistocene era lol.. during the conversation said lady asked if mrs phizzy was going to the r.c, to which mrs phizzy replied, "oh you haven't heard, we no longer go to meetings".. the jw lady then came back with the question in the thread title, which mrs phizzy handled well.. the point of this is though, what a god-awful, stupid, cult-minded question to ask !.

did she think we woke up one morning and thought "we don't love god anymore" ??
