Jesus saves!
Governing body withdraws...
it's an article of faith.
either god is going to save them or he is not.
since one local elder proudly told me that he never saved a nickel until just before his retirement, i've given this subject some thought.. savers are worldly..
Jesus saves!
Governing body withdraws...
this letter was sent to all congregations in ecuador (south america).. the translation into english of the letter:.
to body ofelders.
subject: publisher who did not report field service time in the second semester of service year.. dear brothers:.
I think groan and never a jw are correct. They are probably in a panic trying to figure out how to massage the numbers up. Next year I imagine will be worse.
It makes me wonder what other shenanigans they are pulling to fluff the humbers. Maybe this started a while ago. The cart witnessing. Makes it easy for dubs to rack up hours just drinking coffee? Reporting just 30 minutes for elderly? How creative will they be before the numbers are no longer fluffable
Maybe they will make a provision for newly associated ones to count their time? Maybe they will let kids count their time for watch Damm Caleb and Sophia! ?
per ohmyjw over at r/exjw:.
i assume that other countries also got this letter to boe dated 1st september 2015 about sending additional information along with s-10 form (annual cong.
report).
anyone who has read what happened here, both to the ancient site and also the grizzly murder of antiquity scholar khalid asaad, consider this.
what religious/theocracy on earth now most resembles the stories of "god's chosen people" of the old testament?
probably isis does.

tough to watch this whole video, the way he talks gets pretty annoying, especially after the rc hearings:.

Its a temple of Baal. That's not Allah. In fact the Bible is full of disdain for Baal. Not sure about the Koran, but like I said, its not Allah. My understanding is all three religions have used this as their temple as different points in history. Guess they were too lenient.

it is necessary to bring about the end of days.
Just like the preaching work of JW's lol. I guess with so many trying to bring the end eventually someone will get it right!
i have been waiting to post this 100th post to come up with something half decent.
while i was driving this morning this is what i was thinking about.
there are a lot of new folks on here, and who knows how many lurkers checking in.
Thank you guys, and thinkerbelle, you are on the track. So many (myself included) have made a similar journey. I am so happy you joined!
As for this
and the thought that this life can't be all there is, can it?
I can only speak for myself, that used to be a scary thought, after being raised a JW. But once I told my myself if this life could be all there is, I don't want to waste it, or bog it down with concern over things I cannot know. Letting the unknown be just that, is a big relief, it seems scary, until you cross that threshold of letting go and see that we'll find out the answer when we get there.
