i began studying with the witnesses in 02 and was baptized in 04 but within months of baptism i stopped attending meetings.
my marriage was rocky at best before i studied (husband abusive) but after it just continued to get worse.
i had a baby daughter when i started and had my son while going to meetings and out in service as unbaptized publisher.

The society is guilty of a lot of things, and the worst thing is knowledge of their mistakes but failure to admit to them. Some things were done on purpose too!

i just learned that the founder of the german jehovah's witness forum was disfellowshipped in february.
there apparently were at one time 1,022 posters on this board.
now it seems there are 47. looks like a mass exodus or something.

i found this thread on the justjw's forum.
it made me feel so sad for the poster, i wondered how long she'd been waiting for paradise to arrive.
checking her posting history reveals a very lonely 26 year old medical worker who swings between despair and delight..
ah, how sad. people living for a lie. not realising there will be no paradise and that for over a hundred years the society have just been getting cash.
what would the watchtower say to that?

At our hall the elders were in panic cos a man came in and sat at the back who no one knew. In the end an elder walked over and asked what he wanted and by the end of the conversation the man left.
i was happily day-dreaming the other day.
and somehow i thought of the witnesses i've personally known who've gone to china to spread watchtower propaganda.
and then this absolutely malevolent thought struck me.
but these folks could get hurt, i dunno what would happen to them. they are just being led 'from the back'.

just a brief question, is any one on the site actually qualified to deal with issues of depression and other non pyschotic mental problems?
if so would they help without being directly asked ( very unlikely is someone is depressed )?
I ain't qualified in these areas, however i wanted to welcome you to the board. I had depression too at one point.

this is my explanation as to why i met with the elders today.
when i agreed to meet with the elders last week i had made up my mind to just go in and be honest with them.
i was going to tell the elders that i no longer believed this to be the truth, and then i was just going to walk away.
Your a good person, you've thought deeper into things and rather than make your own life better you've chosen to make sure others are happy first. This decision can't of been easy since the door is just there but good on ya
i have contemplated long enough on the changes i plan to make.
i am a procrastinator and a careful long thinker before i finally get to the work.
i have planned this doorway into the kitchen for 6 months in my mind - now i have a hole.

if the dog is in a funny mood and wants to piss us off, he sometimes starts havin sex with his towel, while he does this he looks at you and if you go near him or the basket he growls and barks.. there was a jw here a couple of days ago, a stuck up snobby one.
she was in our kitchen drinking tea when the dog started doing the above....i was always convinced he was a jw dog but maybe...maybe he's dead against them!.
