  Is revenge sweet?

  a friend of mine recently told me that she had committed this "act of revenge" on an elders wife once.

  i know the elders wife too and she is such a snoody-nose in the air, my family is better than yours person.

  both her boys grew up witnesses and are in the org.

  i had one elder in particular trying, i also studied for a while with a great man who i respect very much. i just couldn't get the same feeling back and then i realised. once you've seen through it, that doesn't come back.

  if i have ever mentioned that i've seen the movies or read the books to a witness in gb, i get the kind of reaction that used to be reserved for smurfs here in america.. i am not naive enough to not understand any discomfort with a school for witches, but this stuff is about as threatening as casper the friendly ghost.

  i find the books charming, if a little long winded and formulaic.

  the movies, especially the later two, tighten up the plots and jettison a lot of excess baggage.

  Had a friend staying over and his bro. The older brother kept bossing us around saying "go get us something to eat..." so we unwrapped an OXO cube and gave him that. He thought it was a chocolate eclair in the dark... Afterwards he was foaming at the mouth literally lol.

  i thought it appropriate that my 100th post be about the attending of my first "worldly" church service this sunday.

  it is at a friends methodist church.

  they are having an open house, so i thought it the best day to go.

  What kind of funeral will you have?

  i know that this is a morbid topic, but i often wonder what kind of funeral that i should have.

  i mean, i'm not associated with any religion.

  i don't want a preacher there speaking about the afterlife or trying to recruit followers.

  in a way i love to complain.. our roads are horrible, the gas is way to expensive, the neighbour is a pig and could sweep his darn sidewalk, the lady across the street could put a smaller wattage bulb not to blind be on her porch, inflation is going up faster than my salary.....and so on.

  apparently, a large percentage of xjw's who post on this site have embraced some other form of god/jesus belief to replace the wt doctrine.

  most of them fall into the "i accept the lord jesus christ as my personal savior" class.

  they are still extremely attached to the old "forgiveness of sin through the shed blood of jc" line.

  How do some of you, find so much time to be on this board?

  i have noticed that some posters are here a lot, and i was just wondering how you find so much time to do that?

  between work, coming home and playing with my child, working outdoors in the yard, and enjoying the weekend in the outdoors doing fishing, hiking or just getting outside.

  i have little time for places like this and yet some are here "a lot!

  well recently she's been missing meetings, ministry e.t.c and when i asked tonight why she wasn't going today she said "i know i should of done".

  i think she's just tired because of it not necessarily of it but found it odd.
