Mum rang to tell me a joke - she claimed she just 'thought' of me but it was transparent, she rang because its Christmas. Stupid me, i knew the punchline so i said it and the phone call ended pretty much after that, really really sad i almost cried I am here with family at my house and she is 2 seconds up the street pretending its a normal day. Gonna call her back and tell her i love her.

JW Baptism = more ammo for us ex-jw's

therefore their baptism does not allow them entry into the kingdom of god by the bibles own terms and jesus own words.. 1 corinthians 12:1-3 says;.

1 Corinthians 12:1-3 says;
1 Now about spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be ignorant. 2 You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols. 3 Therefore I tell you that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus be cursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit.
Take note of Verse 3, its important. It adds to the total sum of your arguement.
John 3:1-8
1 Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a member of the Jewish ruling council. 2 He came to Jesus at night and said, "Rabbi, we know you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the miraculous signs you are doing if God were not with him."
3 In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. [ a ] "
4 "How can a man be born when he is old?" Nicodemus asked. "Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!"
5 Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit [ b ] gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You [ c ] must be born again.' 8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."
The chapter continues to say these are 'heavenly' things remember that also, it may add to your arguement regarding where people go when they die (ie; heaven or earth) but that is almost a seperate issue to what this is discussing.
Basically it says here unless a man is born of spirit and water (or baptized) they cannot enter into the Kingdom meaning JW's wont make it into that arrangement as they dont do it.
Look at this next Scripture - Luke 18:18-26;
18 A certain ruler asked him, "Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?"
19 "Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good—except God alone. 20 You know the commandments: 'Do not commit adultery, do not murder, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother.' [ a ] "
21 "All these I have kept since I was a boy," he said.
22 When Jesus heard this, he said to him, "You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."
23 When he heard this, he became very sad, because he was a man of great wealth. 24 Jesus looked at him and said, "How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God! 25 Indeed, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."

Again, notice where this man was hoping to enter? The Kingdom of God. The Condition placed on doing so was following Jesus and Being born again by Spirit. Witnesses most certainly are not 'born again' infact they hate it. Some Witnesses argue that the Kingdom of God is heavenly only, but not only does the Lords Prayer ask that Gods will be on earth as it is in heaven, but the Witnesses teach the 144,000 will co-rule with Christ. What will they be ruling if the Kingdom is ONLY in heaven (by JW Standards/Teaching)...hopefully this makes sense lol.

by Billy the Ex-Bethelite ini heard that a notice was sent to all boe this month removing "keep on the watch" as the featured january campaign.. can i get confirmation from anyone?.

Yes, it was listed in the last four KMs or so. In fact it is still listed in the January KM as being the offer. The notice of the 'adjustment' is dated "November 14" which must have been after the January KM went to press. Oddly, this rather significant change didn't come in letter format as something to officially read "To all Congregations in the United States". Instead, it comes on a small slip "To all Bodies of Elders in the United States." So, it doesn't instruct the local BOE to actually read the slip to the congregation, but instead to 'inform the congregation'. This is very unusual for being so brief, unexplanitory, and vague. The majority of the times that a little slip like this is sent to the Congregation, it's just to inform the BOE to change scriptures or wording in a Public Talk outline or something of even less consequence.
From my asking around, it seems to me that most JWs aren't aware that the campaign has been cancelled. In contacting bros in other congregations, several hadn't heard of the cancellation. Probably since it was sent on just a slip, the PO or Secretary didn't realize it was something of any importance right now and so the slip got ignored.
TWO: While the campaign itself is cancelled, do witnesses still have the brochure?
Yes, although some congregations might not have any in their stockroom, our congregation has over 300 on hand, ready to place. So, now what are we supposed to do with all those
pieces of crapbrochures? Perhaps send them to every church and newspaper in the neighboring circuit along with a copy of the NBC story about the pedophiles?I still have more info to share, but I have a hand injury, so I'm typing way slow. Plus, I've been very busy these days leading a double life and all...

That's the #1 reason for the cancelation. Frankly I'm surprised someone at the WTS was awake at the helm to catch this before the fallout.
They should give that company-man a double-portion of dessert at the next dinner for saving the WTS from going from an embarrising situation to a ridiculous one. But to the WTS's chagrin, the toothpaste is already squeezed out of the tube: The brochures were sent out to the congregations, the KM informed the membership, and I'm sure there were KM skits done on the stage during the Service Meeting showing presentations and highlights.
A campaign cancelled? This is unheard of! Even for me given my many years with the JWs!!!
Some of the more thinking JWs will think, consider what's going on, and add things up. That's good! The others will continue brain-dead as usual.
i agree, however two questions.
ONE: Are JW's themselves aware that there was a campaign
TWO: While the campaign itself is cancelled, do witnesses still have the brochure?

Just talked to Witnesses at my door for Hour about Watchtower Child Abuse
by flipper init happened again like in july when i talked to an elder and his wife about child abuse, but this time i got a hold of rank and file members who fortunately i was able to play like a fiddle as they had no idea what they were up against here.
so brother middle age ex-hippie convert ( as he told me later ) and sister middle age hair in a bun offered me the awake on death or our view of death.
i graciously accepted gaining their trust saying yes, i had close loved ones who had died over the years but didn't know if i believed in a resurrection or hereafter.
