  Truth they can't refute, but they do!

  what really hurts is when someone you care about, family or friends just can't see what they are in, and how dangerous their religion is to them.

  move on they say, we see a full picture and they see a part of the picture, they don't except this but where is their evidence?.

  i would appreciate if you mention all your evidence (and if possible which article/date or whatever it relates to).the classic 607 bce and 1914 lieblood transfusions and lack of biblical supportscare tactics and bullyinghow elders humiliate people in judicial hearingsthe society removes jesus and god and makes them the head even though they deny this, where is mention of the governing body in the bible for example, and surely jesus works on individual basis through his followers without the need of rules that aren't in the bible.

  sometimes i feel like i spend to much time visiting the forum but then i remember that when i left the org.

  my social circle went from literally hundreds down to about 5 or 6.. so no guilt at all--i'm glad to to be here and am grateful to everyone of you!

  Sometimes your on your own in trying to understand the JW organization and trying to get someone you love out of it...if it wasn't for these people here **YES ALL OF YOU** i'd have no motive, no bullets to fire and i'd of given up!

  If you take this opportunity then be gentle, don't dive in though if i heard my mum say that i'd be tempted to. Listen as much as you speak and show yourself to care about individual as much as them not being witness, that way your not views as a bitter person but genuine and that can only be good right?

  male and female, the one who seems the most balanced and mature.

  a combination of looks, good threads, intelligence, and wisdom also.

  you know all the myspace.com warnings that were on here about elders on a witch hunt searching for active jw's blogs and using them against them?

  well the elders didn't search but an old aquaintenance did.

  she was disfellowshipped for her blogs concerning all the casual sex she was having.

  JWs and the British Museum

  anyone been to the british museum?

  i know of some jws who are planning to visit.. i wonder just how incriminating could a visit be to a jw interested in looking at babylonian artifacts?

  i imagine that nothing really jumps out at you relating to jw chronology.

  Do JWs still call themselves "Bible students?"

  does anyone know if jehovah's witnesses still refer to themselves as "bible students?

  " i experienced a strange situation sometime last week or the week before and i was wondering if anyone could tell me if they think it involved a jw or not.

  i have never heard of jws making random phone calls to witness to people, but i guess maybe they do.

  The thought of meeting his whole family scares me - is that normal??

  ok, i was talking to my jw boyfriend on the phone for a while last night, and we were talking about some plans that we have for this coming summer.

  one of these plans is a family get-together / camping trip that his family does every year.

  i'm all gung-ho for doing family events with him, but while we were talking about it last night, i got really anxious about it.. i'd thought that it was just going to be his immediate family - parents, siblings, nieces and nephews, that sort of thing.

  damn, thats like everyone walking around wearing Desperate Dan masks.

  all i can suggest is that you Go with your gut feelings on this and try and arrange something else with you and your boyfriend if you want to, if not go with them and just dont make it a JW Retreat holiday.
