the facts: we know our species on this planet isn't forever, we'll either evolve with better traits or become extinct.

i ran across a witness i knew the other day at the gym and we had an open and honest discussion on exiting the organization.
he still goes and used to be an elder, but stepped down when his children were disfellowshipped.
he was actually very honest with me on some subjects, which tells me that he is probably putting together an exit foundation and looking for some bricks of information to make it solid.
i just found out today (from my sister) that crooklyn will not be making any more bound volumes of the watchtower or awake magazines after this year------instead, they're all going to be on audio tape only.

i think this could very well be yet another tactic of the gb trying to keep a lid on their "embarassing" quotes of yesterday.
On Audio Tape? That won't make reference even for the JW's easy without fast forwarding and rewinding all the time. Thats a lot of recording. I am not sure how that will even help them as with Audio we can then prove they 'said' it. As for stopping the CD...nah they just added some new features to the lastest version and the JW's love it. They'd need a good excuse unless they wanted to ban computers from witnesses.
If its taken them since the early 1990's to work out the CD is causing them problems and also since before then with Bound Volumes they are more stupid than we thought, usually they might switch hard-back books for Soft-back so i suppose they could say its to save paper...doubt that though.
the watchtower uses bible verses to enforce their shunning policy so that the rank and file won't talk to ex-j.w.
's and therefore find out why they left the org.. also, they use verses to stop the rank and file from looking at "apostate" literature and research the watchtower policies.. my question.... what are some of the doctrine that could be used to enforce "new" watchtower policies?

i was discussing with my auntie how in the 70's transplants were not allowed, and then in the 80's they were, and asked that since people died by not having a transplant what evidence this had of gods direction.

clyde wants to see the wt response letter to the un letter that was posted on 2-10-06. it was a two-page letter.
i can print it out, but it is very fuzzy.
i changed the print command from "normal" to "best" but still can't get a good copy.

For me this is only part of my story but like the others here who have valid reasons for leaving the org, we have valid reasons for staying away, we know too much about it now. Did i leave at a bad time in my faith? Not really, my talks were good, i enjoyed the ministry e.t.c

Well done for dealing with this, your questions were spot on and they for whatever reasons were off the mark. Notice, if they really cared 'as a brother' they'd of come in, sat down, talked and listened twice as much.
