We will never see holidays through a child's eyes

this is one of the things that saddens me greatly.

those of us who were raised as witnesses missed out on all the magic associated with being a child experiencing a holiday.

we will never know the great anticipation of santa claus, the wonder of having the tooth fairy visit us in the night, the excitement of hunting for easter eggs, dressing up to trick or treat, etc.

See i had things slightly different. As a younger child i had all the celebrations but then as i got to about 8 or 9 i never celebrated it again till recently, my first family Christmas was last year with some friends and they make a huge effort for their own family and made me fit in well too. They got me presents and everything. The whole thing sort of goes over my head, i feel numb were most might feel excitement but slowly i hope and pray i get the feeling back.

I remember being in my Pyjamas in front of the tree, feeling happy at that time. The chances to do that again as a kid are gone but i swear if i get a family of my own i'll make these times so special.

Parlour Tricks of the Mind

i offer you a few recent musings, to consider.

i'm not trying to make statements of facts or argue for a set of beliefs, or anything of the sort.

i guess i'd just really like to discuss the subject of the mind without getting entrenched positions on the various subjects surrounding it.

If such a subconcious mind exists, then would that explain the strength people might get all of a sudden to move something heavy to help someone trapped and things like that.

The fight or flight thing, we are not in control of Adrenaline but it allows us to do some amazing things.

IF a person could use that strength whenever they needed it and apply that subconscious mind to tasks at hand, would we be in more control of ourselves?

this is my first time ever participating in any discussion with ex -witnesses ever, and it's long overdue.

i discovered the real truth about 6 years ago with the aid of websites like this (cannot contain my gratefulness), now i am stepping into your world and it feels right.

my family runs four generations deep in witness muck,my great-grandmother was the oldest living pioneer in our region for what seemed like forever, three of my great-grandparents were "anointed",my grandfather hobnobbed with the governing body, etc.,etc.

How much longer till the TOWER is no longer?

has until it completly falls apart?

it seems there is alot of things changing quickly.

I think the Watchtower will exist for a long long time but people will get sick of waiting for all us apostates to be hit with God's anti-matter.
