  generally i find that if a girl is interested in me she makes it quite obvious by her actions and words.

  i'm fine with this.

  however there are times when a i really can't tell and this is the problem i'm grappling with at the moment.

  THE CORRECTING OF A MISUNDERSTANDING

  It is true that the editor and publisher of Zion’s Watch Tower and Herald of Christ’s Presence calculated that the "presence" or parousia of the heavenly Bridegroom began in the year 1874 C.E. Also, that the date of the first man’s creation by Jehovah God was in the year 4128 B.C.E., which meant that six thousand years of man’s existence on the earth ended in the year 1872 C.E., as calculated by Russell and his associates. This reckoning began to be announced on the front page of Zion’s Watch Tower and Herald of Christ’s Presence beginning with the issue of July 1, 1906, and this practice continued down through the issue of September 15, 1928. For instance, on the first of such mentioned issues appeared the date of issue: "July 1, A.D. 1906—A.M., 6034"; whereas the dating of the last mentioned issue was: "Anno Mundi 6056—September 15, 1928." The Anno Mundi or "Year of the World" date was calculated to be the year 4128 before our Common Era.

  Two years, however, were allowed for the innocence of the perfect man and woman in the Garden of Eden before sin entered, and hence the year of sin’s entrance was calculated as 4126 B.C.E. This resulted in their calculating six thousand years of sin as ending in 1874 C.E., in which year also, in the autumn, the seventh millennium began, for the instigator of sin, Satan the Devil, to be bound and cast into the bottomless pit and for Christ to start reigning for the foretold thousand years. This meant that the year of the start of Christ’s reign was also the year of his return and the beginning of his invisible presence or parousia.

  Does this mean they admitted that until PAST 1914 they said otherwise or am i being thick? Its on the Watchtower Library CD..

  he's forced in to this position due by a rigid organization that punishes strength, intelligence, and individuality.

  i dedicate this thread to all good thoughts about richie rich.

  Dear Richies mum,

  Growing up is about experience, learning for yourself and going on to understand why things are as they are. Without seeing things yourself you become open, nieve and even vulnerable!

  Just as you personally chose your religion and made your own decisions, its important Richie can also do this. How for example did you become and then stay a Jehovah's Witness? by choice! What value would your beliefs have if say, you were forced!

  Religion and belief are something that become part of you. The way you live, why you do things. You wouldn't for example swear, smoke or do other things because of your faith.

  Richie is a sensible lad, i've been able to see how he feels and you really do matter to him thats not in doubt. This isn't a rejection of God, Christ, the Bible and certainly not what you've taught him. Whatever decisions he makes in life, you've got a good son who thinks through everything he does.

  Last year i left the witnesses. My mum kicked me out and i had to live with other relatives. The confusion as to why she did this was blinding and our relationship was never the same. Why? because the glue that had always made me trust her and believe what she said had stopped working. Please, see your son for who he is and don't judge him on his actions.
