I don't know if you get tired of hearing "thank you", but your weekly WT Study commentaries are invaluable.
Thanks, Blondie!

as a young minister, i was asked by a funeral director to hold a .

had died while traveling through the area.
Thank you for the laughs!

an elderly florida lady did her shopping and upon returning to her car, found four males in the act of leaving with her vehicle.
she dropped her shopping bags and drew her handgun, proceeding to scream at the top of her voice, "i have a gun, and i know how to use it!
get out of the car!
I don't care if it's an Urban Lengend or not. Thanks for the much needed belly laugh, Brenda!
a rabbi, a holy man and a (retired school teacher) elder were in a car together when the car broke down alongside a farm.
knocking on the door they asked the farmer if they could stay the night.
the farmer said he only had two extra beds so one of them would have to sleep in the barn.. the rabbi volunteered and went to the barn as the others found their beds.

Thanks for the double chuckle today....my day started out really crummy, but with the belly laughs your jokes generated, I think my day is going to get better!

i am very new here quite excited to finally make the move and register.
i have a very long story but i would like to leave that for another time perhaps.
Hi, Mercedes and Welcome!
I'm new here, too....it feels good to be "out of the shadows" and here on the board, doesn't it?

I don't think I'm a particularly nice person yet, but I'm working on it! In other words, my heart is usually in the right place, but my brain's usually out to lunch!

Blondie, I've been a faithful reader of your weekly WT Study thread for a long while. I just want to say "Thank You!" for this thread. I'm not a baptised JW, but I grew up in a nest of them, (close relatives, aquaintances and most painful of all my only sister). The relatives and aquaintances don't really want anything to do with me, but I'm desperate to keep some contact with my sister....she still talks to me from time to time, go figure. I am fearful of the day when that will end.
Anyway, reading your WT posts keeps me in touch with the propaganda she is taking in each week.

is this place therapy for you, or just a place to mingle?
I've used this board as therapy by being a lurker for about one year. Now I'd like to have a chance to do some of the giving, instead of taking from the threads all the time.

isnt it amazing how life can totally turn around and you end up in a place you swore you would never be in?
5 years ago, i was "happily" brainwashed, unaware of the deceptions.
i always thought that the jw's were right and everything against them was lies from satan.
Hi, Willow Tree:
I feel like I've been brainwashed for all my life and only now am I starting to come out of the fog.
Anger and pain are huge forces in my life right now. I'm "grinding teeth" angry at everything. After reading some of the replies to your post, it occurred to me that maybe it does all boil down to the mental garbage I was fed about an angry, jealous, petty god that could'nt wait to strike me with a lightning bolt for any transgression.
I'm currently reading Sophie's World, by Jostein Gaarder. It's a novel/ philosophy course all in one. One of the sentences in the chapter about Rene Descartes that got my attention was when Sophie says "You begin to work out your own philosophy".
That's where I'm at right now regarding my own life's archaeological dig.
