i got certified three years ago and my open water test and first several dives were in merky wisconsin lakes and coreys. i then got an opportunity to dive in mexico and it was wonderfull but i still like the merky lakes and coreys, its a thrill to be down there not able to see much and expect a decayed body to float by you or even to just find an old bottle or something like that.

rock climbing
by aoxo inany rock climbers in here?
when i was a jw it was frowned upon very much in the surrounding cong.
so one wanted to do it with me because the elders (who didn't know what the heck rock climbing was) didn't think that it was safe and that it was more of a thrill sport like bungy jumping.

gods name?
by aoxo ini never understood what the big deal was with saying gods name jehovah.
the jw's say that that's his name and not titles like the lord or the creater because those titles describe what he is or does not his name.
but don't they also say that the name jehovah means "he who causes to become"?

christains and the pagens by dar williams since i had turned atheist. Amber called her uncle, said "We're up here for the holiday, Jane and I were having Solstice, now we need a place to stay." And her Christ-loving uncle watched his wife hang Mary on a tree, He watched his song hang candy canes all made with red dye number three. He told his niece, "Its Christmas Eve, I know our life is not your style," She said, "Christmas is like Solstice, and we miss you and its been awhile," So the Christians and the Pagans sat together at the table, Finding faith and common ground the best that they were able, And just before the meal was served, hands were held and prayers were said, Sending hope for peace on earth to all their gods and goddesses. The food was great, the tree plugged in, the meal had gone without a hitch, Till Timmy turned to Amber and said, "Is it try that youre a wtich?" His mom jumped up and said, "The pies are burning," and she hit the kitchen, And it was Jane who spoke, she said, "Its true, your cousins not a Christian," "But we love trees, we love the snow, the friends we have, the world we share, And you find magic from your God, and we find magic everywhere," So the Christians and the Pagans sat together at the table, Finding faith and common ground the best that they were able, And where does magic come from? I think magics in the learning, Cause now when Christians sit with Pagans only pumpkin pies are burning. When Amber tried to do the dishes, her aunt said, "Really, no, dont bother." Ambers uncle saw how Amber looked like Tim and like her father. He thought about his brother, how they hadnt spoken in a year, He thought hed call him up and say, "Its Christmas and your daughters here." He thought of fathers, sons and brothers, so his own son tug his sleeve, saying, "Can I be a Pagan?" Dad said, "Well discuss it when they leave." So the Christians and the Pagans sat together at the table, Finding faith and common ground the best that they were able, Lighting trees in darkness, learning new ways from the old, and Making sense of history and drawing warmth out of the cold.

How to get DFed
by Threestars ini read something hilarious a few years ago at one of these forums.
go to an assembly...stand up and horse around during the session until the ushers take notice.
when they hold up those little signs they have saying something like "please take your seat" hold up your own sign that says, "please kiss my ass".

i agree candid, the holy spirit sure does allow the right people to be servants and elders in the cong. like me, i was a ministerial servent and the whole time i never beleived in god and spent hours on the internet viewing porn and watching rated R movies in private. the elders realy did see what was in my heart and put me in the right place, on the stage giving a talk on masterbation. later on that night i masterbated...

by 4nick8 ini went back a few threads on this and have'nt seen it brought up.
since many of you good people are former jw's, and since blood seems to be such a huge issue at this forum, do you now donate blood?.

witness vs. cathlics
by aoxo ini attended an ex witness group for the first time a couple of weeks ago and a comment made was that jw's are just like any other religion (cathlics, lutherans) in that when someone breaks away from it the same reactions are made from the persons family and ex members such as not talking to them, claiming that the new religion is wrong, dismissal from the congregation because of wrongdoing (fornication) and other cultish stuff that the jw's inflict on us ex's.
is anyone else from another religion that can verify this?
i dont think this is true.

lonely...
by aoxo inhello, i am newly dissociated and was wondering how some of you who grew up in "the truth" have started relationships.
i have never dated for obvious reasons and am now 26 with no experiance and extremely shy about this whole dating process.
i have tried places of interest like gyms, workout classes and even eharmony with no prevail.

the "hurry" is that i have wanted a relationship for a long long time and am long overdue for one. i have had several years of theropy and have established what i like and dont like. i agree with the comment that i am still in the process of change. i have yet to get used to the worldly way of doing things, which i realy like. however, i think that i am ready for a relationship with the right person. i am extremely picky since i want to have more of a permenant relationship, someone i can come home to everyday and be used to. yeay, people always tell me "dont worry it'll happen" but i've found that the more i try the farther i seem to get from accomplishing the task...
