i never thought i would do one of those infamous goodbye i cant take this board anymore posts where the person shows up again a week later and looks like an idiot.

when i had enough of this board and needed a little break i would just quietly leave for a few months and hopefully nobody noticed.

that is not the case this time.

Elder Alert!!!!!

i received my first elder call yesterday.

he wants to talk to me today.

i have never been afraid of the elders but i also have no experience on what they are going to say because i have never ask for their opinion on anything and i have never been accused of anything either so, any ex or current elders here that can brief me about what to expect?.

(and i apologize for using your thread to ask it).

this month is the first ever where i have no hours to report. can i just bluntly say, i didn't feel like volunteering this month? or is that a little to affront?

and flag, i agree, if you avoid the situation altogether, you won't have to be anxious about what might be said at this meeting. IMO, don't meet with the elder.

Christians - Do you believe the flood occurred?

when i was a bible believer, i accepted the flood.

the frozen mammoths and seashells on mountaintops were "evidence", but the only needed proof was simply that the bible said so.

as a christian, do you believe the flood story?.

it may have already been talked about here but i just saw it last night with some other "apostate" friends.. wasn't it amazing in it's similarity to the borg.. my favorite scene was everyone reading together "dick and jane" talk about a great watchtower study depiction!
