i think about it everyday :(
(i'm not officially out, you see, but i haven't been to a meeting in 3 months).
i can't bare to think of the inevitability of losing friends, family.
i don't have any friends outside of the bOrg.
s'why i'm here on a friday night. sigh.
so i think "will i buckle under the pressure of one more night alone?"

I think many of you will return to the religion one day
by free2beme ini don't mean this as an insult, more of a life experience thing.
i saw a lot of people leave in my years there and a lot were angry with the religion and the people, and some even protested the kingdom halls and wrote things in the newspapers.
a lot though, came back in time, as it was just the comfort zone they felt at ease in.

Has anyone done this before??? READ THIS!
by schne_belly inso last night, my lovely wife and i were about to sit down to dinner, and the doorbell rings.
guess who?.
two elders to inform me that i am disfellowshipped!!.
-
Calliope
that was so sad.
honestly, sad.
i just felt pity for them.
and now, on to more serious issue
HOW COULD THEY DF YOU WITHOUT A JUDICIAL MEETING?!??!?!
WTF!
If you "didn't" receive the letters (and even if you did), should they not discuss this with you in person? Isn't their goal to HERD THE GODDAMN SHEEP???? I'm so confused.
"we've made our decision" ??? wtf
this decision (if you really cared) affects your life so should you not be involved in the process?
and furthermore,
CONGRATULATIONS on your ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

by JH innot just looks, or intelligence, but the perfect package..... .
male and female, the one who seems the most balanced and mature.
a combination of looks, good threads, intelligence, and wisdom also.

It's not what they believe that we despise, it's how they behave!
by Check_Your_Premises inwell my wife totally got on my nerves last night.
i was trying to work out some compromises on the holidays with her.
i spent a ton of time thinking about it, studying about it, and writing things down.

i will start with a sheepish apology... i will be the minority here. maybe... give your wife... some time?
i was that wife. perhaps my circumstances were different, but my resistance and near arrogance were the result of sheer fear. and frustration. and uncertainty. and doubt.
i wanted to believe the truth. i wanted to ignore my doubts. i wanted to play dumb and ignorant in hopes of not having to confront what turned out to be inevitable...
it took patience and time.
of course, i already had doubts (and perhaps your wife will never question any of the wits views). So for me, the transition into accepting the doubts and researching them was just waiting to happen.
and here i am today.

The other sheep: Looking for an apologist to offer an explanation
by IP_SEC ina verse constantly plucked from context by witnesses is john 10:16. they use it to prove that there are two classes of christian.. and i have other sheep i have other sheep, which are not of this fold: those also i must bring and they will listen to my voice, and they will become one flock, one shepherd.. the this fold say witnesses are anointed christians and the other sheep are christians with an earthly hope.. read the text carefully and in context, and i challenge anyone to be able to prove that.. in chapter 9 jesus heals a man born blind.
this infuriates the pharisees who then attack the healed man and threaten him with being expelled from the synagogue.
the man will not recant and is thrown out.. jesus finds him and asks him to be his follower.

i wish i could work through one erroneous wit claim per week, but i keep coming on the board and being overwhelmed with these thoroughly researched issues that blow the borg out of the water.
IP_SEC, when do you have time to research these things?
i am in awe of your fastidiousness (if that's a word)...
about the scriptures "interpretation", it seems so clear when you read the context now. how does the borg come up with these aberrations?

Pioneer Sister is Even Confused about The Annointed...Now I'm Confused!
by stillAwitness inok, this time i wasn't snooping around but i was eavesdropping in a conversation the co was having with the freeloader pioneer sister who has been staying with us:
apparently she was a bit confused as to what will happen during the 'new system" between her and her husband.
this is where it gets confusing and i need help understanding this: (i could only get in a few tidbits of the convo here and there: ya'll don't know how hard it is to have your ear pressed to a door fro 30 minutes!

that's one issue i've always had difficulties with.
even if you're not anointed (if this all in fact did exist) and you live thru armageddon (if it were to really happen), end up in the new system (if there was to be such a thing) waiting by your deceased husbands grave only to be reminded that once he is resurrected, you will not be like husband and wife, but like brother and sister... or some shite like that.
how can you then apply rev 21:3,4
And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore
how could you not be sorrowful over losing your husband??? unless god intended to offer something better. hmmmm?
and then when you ask about this, you get some shite answer like "don't try to get ahead of god's chariot, lest you get run over." in other words, "don't ask, we don't know"...
