in the beginning (when i was all of 10), i thought i was going to make it.
then when i was a self-destructive teenager i came to the point where i really didn't care if i didn't make it. i wouldn't know or miss anything anyway.
i'm sure this will have been discussed before..but i am new here, so i was wondering how many of you when you where active jw's actually beleived you were going to survive armageddon.
i personally being brought up in the 'truth' used to lie in bed frightened of it coming or world events always thinking i was too bad a person to survive, and even as an adult i always felt i was never doing enough or good enough to be 'chosen' for survival when the end came u were always made to feel like you should be doing more as though you could earn your salvation.
i have talked to someone else who i know has left and they felt the same, i was wondering how many of you guys actually beleived you would make it through armageddon

memorial date is wednesday april 12th - this is confirmed .
i post this because some have asked
hey misspeaches, here's an official invite from moi:
would you like to attend the memorial with me? you'd have to fly an awful long way, but give it some thought...
of course, there must have been a thousand threads on this debate.. having read a few of them, i say who cares?
particularly, the society?
ok, so lets say it really was 21 years later than they thought...but using their same (flawed) chronology theory:.
they wouldn't care if it wouldn't rock the boat. but if they were to recant and expose their error, there's that potential for great upset. people renouncing their faith, leaving the "society", lawsuits...
i think, that might by why they would care...

i was going for a drive this morning.
just felt like listening to some nice music.
so i opened my boot where i kept the box with some old tapes and couldnt decide what to put on so while i was driving i thought to try out couple of those anyway.
i don't know if anyone saw this article at cnn.com.
http://www.cnn.com/2006/tech/science/03/09/species.survivor.ap/index.html.
it purports that they've found a squirrel/rat thought to have been extinct for over 11 million years.. what do you think, is it possible that maybe this is a new species?.

what do you think, is it possible that maybe this is a new species?
or, a product of copulation between a rat and a squirrel?
or perhaps did they simply discovered an animal no one thought had survived extinction?

so far, i've been left alone.
no one's bugging me.
i hear the c.o.
okayyyy,
i recant on my earlier post. SOMEONE FOUND MY UNLISTED NUMBER!
i just came home from work and there is was, flashing at me - message waiting.
oh, and it's a tough one. it's my bs conductor and he's like "... so good to hear your voice"...
he's the kinda of guy you always love...
i was torn as to whether to call him back or not. but i thought about it for about 2 minutes and 36 seconds and, nope, won't be returning the call.

not a dim wit. more like "half" wit.

so far, so good.
haven't been to a meeting in nearly 4 months.
moved and changed phone numbers to an unlisted one.
my only concern is that my sister (who is a wit and lives in another part of the country),
said she was worried about me and has been contemplating calling to elders
in my area...

normally i am fine but a glass and a half of wine and my heart is breaking.
the irony of it is is that i was as lonely as this in the congregation.. i feel overwhelmed with life and never seem to get anywhere or get anything done.
god, i sound pitiful.
VERMONT!!! i've been to vt often. i love it. i never wanted to live in the states, but vermont is dear to me. sure, if you had a bed a breakfast, i'd be there in a flash... but all you need to do is send me an invite, and that's all i need. there was this old "resort" we use to go to, i think it was in a place called Barney (?), it was awesome. right accross from a lake with 8 cabins. oh, it was suh-wah-heet. anyway, i can relate to feeling lonely, especially when surrounded by such the irony of beauty... cal.
okay, this is a strange request, but i'm desperate... i have bit my lip too many times.
i bit it for the first time on sunday and have bitten it about 10 times since!
no matter how careful i am, i keep biting it!
college girl...
well, for the biting of the cheeks, i do that during the day. otherwise, i have to wear a mouthguard at night. and let me simply say this... not pretty.
otherwise, the biting of the lip? i've been told it is endearing! :)
