A New View of the Trinity
by Eugene Shubert infor everyone's convenience, i've summarized my synthesis into a short number of postulates.
please tell me which of my propositions are provably false and therefore biblically inadmissible.. the godhead is a heavenly trio of three living persons: the father, the son, and the holy spirit (matthew 28:19, 3:13-17, 2 corinthians 13:14, ephesians 4:4-6, 1 peter 1:2 and revelation 1:4,5).the father is all the fullness of the godhead bodily, and is invisible to mortal sight.the son is all the fullness of the godhead manifested (colossians 2:9 cf.
john 1:1).

Jesus himself refutes any notion of any sort of trinity when at John 17:3, he refers to another as "the only true God." No translation I have seen has him saying anything other than that.
All the slick translating, smoke and mirrors and intellectualizing any wish to do can change Jesus' own words at John 17:3. If he is God, equal to God or any part of any godhead, he cannot say another is "the only true God." Since he did, he clearly shows his own thoughts on the matter.

From an admittedly conservative news source:
Bagram GI: Troops Waited While Hillary Chowed Down
U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton forced U.S. troops stationed at Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan to wait for their Thanksgiving dinner last Thursday while she and her entourage arrived late, then cut in line and were served first.
A soldier who witnessed the scene tells NewsMax:
"Thanksgiving Dinner started at 3 p.m. that day, so the line was forming around 2:30 p.m. She didn't show up until around 3:30 p.m.
"Once she got there," our source maintains, "Clinton and her entourage bumped everyone in line, forcing them to wait almost an extra hour."
The brass at Bagram apparently had a hard time rounding up New Yorkers who wanted to have dinner with Clinton, D-N.Y. Only six GIs responded to an e-mail sent out last week that stated, "Looking for military members from New York and Rhode Island interested in meeting their Senator/Congressman."
People magazine was on hand to cover the event and wanted to interview the troops for reaction to Clinton's visit.
"But they were getting declined left and right," our source said. "People were actually telling the reporters, 'You don't want to print what I think about her and her visit.'"
After Clinton and her entourage departed, the only topics GIs wanted to talk about were "how great the food was and how fantastic they thought George Bush's visit to Iraq was."

Since he's still an active JW, I won't post his name, but the manager who made Paul Revere and the Raiders famous back in the 60s was a dub too. He was an elder in my old congregation and still DJs locally on AM radio.

After thinking about this for a few days, the question comes to mind, was this bush/iraq visit a reaction to hillory's planned afghan visit? If it was a reaction to her action, well, it's not that much of a biggie, but it shows who has the balls.
News reports stated that Bush started planning his trip in mid October. Was it possible Hillary somehow got wind of it and planned hers too? Or, did they both come up with the idea around the same time? Regardless, if the Bush visit was strictly political in nature, isn't Hillary's also?
While watching video of both vists and eating with the troops, I noticed a distinct difference in the demeanor of the troops when Bush was there and when Hillary was there.

Six, I said I would check into Bush's Service and whether or not his Dad was capable of puling many strings. George Bush Sr, was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1966. Bush Jr was in the Guard from 1968 to 1973. The time period those that dislike Bush makes claims to about his supposed to be deserting ot AWOL was from 1972 to 1973.
While it's possible Sr may have encourage others to keep Jr. out, I still doubt it as he was still somewhat of a Jr. Congressman. Like claims about Gore, it would take hard evidence that eithers fathers kept them out as claimed. Hard evidence for the claim of both fathers pulling strings simply isn't there.
As for claims of AWOL when others were fighting and dying, US involvment was ended in Vietnam in 1973. In 1972, there were very few troops still left there and minimal chance of anymore Guard people being activated. The ones I met were there with me in 1969 when some heavy fighting was still going on.
Evidently, he did go AWOL, but to be honest, so did I, a time or two and most every person I was there with. Regardless, to condemn Bush for this while having given Clinton a pass for 8 years on his protesting, draft dodging and burning of the American flag overseas, comes across as hypocritical to me. For 8 years we were constantly told that character doesn't matter. Now, since Bush has gotten elected, all of a sudden, it matters again.
I have no problem with any disagreeing with any politician, their policies need to be and should be held up to public scrutiny. But, to constantly bewail about rumors and ancient history, after giving the predeccesor a pass for even worse, is to me, just plain wrong.

Six, there are rumors that Gores Dad, a prominent Senator at the time, kept Al Jr. out til towards the end of his enlistment. There are also rumors that Nixon did it, which I find sort of hard to swalllow. Regardless, his Vietnam service he likes to laud and show pictures all dressed up as fighting soldier, are bunk. He carried a camera and I doubt he ever fired an M-16 over there.
Back in the 60's, I don't believe George Sr. was all that high within the government as to be able to pull many strings, unlike the father of Al Gore Jr. I'll have to check up on it, but so far, no one has presented anything but conjecture on this claim.
All Officer Candidates, regardless of job or training, have to complete several leadership courses to even become Officers. You know, I bet he even took many of the very same courses that Clark did too.
Gumby, as to the article about GWs IQ, try again. The insititue listed exists nowhere within ths country and the article is nothing more than a political jibe. It's not true at all.

So, bush was in iraq for only two and one half hours??
Yeah, so? Is there a time commitment he must spend?
Just how many dusty grunts did he meet and actually talk to?
Fox News and CNN both reported about 600 in the mess hall where he joined them for dinner and actually showed video of him serving them food.
Did he give any rousing speeches?
I enjoyed hearing it, you may not have. It seems the 600 or so soldiers in the tent appreciated the visit, the speech and the company. They sure broke out in applause when he unexpectedly walked out from the back.
If so, how many were awake to hear them?
I didn't see a closed eye there. Nice dig, but inaccurate as can be.
Or, did he just shake the clean hands of the top brass, smile for the cameras and jump back into waiting air force one?
Maybe you could actually watch some news reports or read a newspaper to find out for yourself?
But, since you seem somewhat taken aback at this visit, may I ask what is your opinion of the *junior* Senator from New York also making a visit to Afghanistan and Iraq today also? Shouldn't your questions equally apply to her visit? After all, what does a *very junior* Senator need to travel there for anyway? Maybe she misses the limelight? Or, maybe she is trying to make sure she appears as being tough too, in case she decides to jump into the Presidential race this year?

Dakota, if you were in the National Guard in the circumstances that Bush was, during Vietnam, you were indeed dodging the war if not the draft;
And just what influence was that? Doesn't that also apply to the rest of the men serving in his National Guard unit? He was hardly the only person serving in it.
I met more than one National Guard pilot in Vietnam that was activated to active duty. To now claim that Bush was kept out by his father just opens the door that Al Gore must have been a cush reporters job in Vung Tau for the few months he served there.
When I enlisted in 1969, I had a commitment of 6 years total service, 3 active and 3 inactive reserves. Draftees had a 6 year commitment, 2 active, 4 inactive reserves. Al Gore had an enlistment of 2 years only. He and I were there about the same time. Vung Tau was a much nicer area than was An Khe.
Had Bush been called to active duty and pulled some of the moves that Clinton did to avoid the draft, also covered as truthful on Snopes website, I would have voted for someone else. Regardless of what you may think of the man, do you have any idea of what goes into training a man to fly fighter jets? Try and see if you can pass the course and qualify for fighter jets, most don't.
