  JW's live in a black and white fantasy where invisible people run the universe from behind a curtain; gods and devils all. They do what they are told and shut out the real world as though it were a virus. They cannot think for themselves or feel real emotions. Their humanity is drained from them at the Kingdom Hall where countless hours of boring repetition condition them to fight off reality with every brain cell left functioning.

  So, so true...the whole post was so true. Another one for the books. Great post.

  Pop Up Porn

  has anyone had "unsolicited" emails or pop ups (on your computer screen in case anyone thinks they should comment otherwise) from porn sites, without having ever visited any of these sites?

  and my intuition always told me that great artists never become JW's, they're too expansive to get caught up in such a weird, petty little cult. Prince being an unfortunate exception.

  what if i asserted the following as true?

  the watchtower bible and tract society has no interest in an effective evangelical program of conversion.. would that sound silly?

  disfellowshipping would lead to having a big target placed on the ex jw's back at armageddon.. .

  The neurotic does not crave normality. The neurotic requires an exotic stage in which to act out the peculiarities which afflict the disabled mind.

  That is deep and scary. I have read examples of that all too often.And in their mind they are right about doing that.

  Are you tempted to celebrate V-Day with your DUB mate?

  valentine's day is tuesday and i was just wondering; for those who still have mates in dub land...is it tempting to maybe buy them flowers or insist on a dinner date on such a lovey-dovey day?

  i saw some yellow roses on sale today at walmart and was tempted to get some for my mom then i realized i'd better wait till after the 14th.

  Jw men in relationships with "worldly women" take notice.

  it's a struggle to live a life of dualism.

  you sought comfort in her arms, were soothed by her normalacy, and is a wiff of fresh air to you.

  but if you, like so many others, a 2nd or 3rd gen witnesses, it's a struggle, especially if you believe the dogma and have family in it , and the hold it has on you in your mind it's extreme.

  IFthey had ever really believed their own "urgent" messege they would not have invested money in stocks, bonds, funds and real estate BECAUSE THE "WICKED SYSTEM" which supports financial structure (by their own admission) was imminently DOOMED!

  The investment program of the Watchtower Society ably demonstrates a confidence in this wicked system of things!!! "Where a man's treasure is his heart will be also."

  Excellent point. I agree, even if they try to reason it's all for expanding the message. That last statement still makes a good point. They DO make enough to do just that.

  Only in a sense of I used to think knew the worlds best kept secret. I personally did'nt feel prideful, which was wrong to me.But my family feels superior in a sense that they feel more moraly upright holy and spiritually aware which bothered me in their prejudiced veiws of those that don't believe what they believe.What a better witness it would be if they did'nt have distinctions between "worldly" and "true believers", "sheep" and "goat".Those very words are racist to me and irritate me to no end now that I'm leaving.

  The repetitive outlines, the repetitive sighted scriptures that are not read all the way.The repetitive routine in service with already made out presentations that are idiot proof. The same, the same, THE SAME! The same phrases being told to us, the same explainations being told to us when we are at our lowest point. And to be satisfied with THAT! All this time with looking forward to something, putting your life on pause for something....instead of just living,JUST LIVING! True freedom?! Not in the collective will you really experience that true freedom. Oh, well, granted if you do experience that, but it's only conditional if you stay nesteled within the bosom of their dogma, and if you literally hang on the teat of "mother".

  I'm done... I'll get off my soapbox now.
