  the fact that they are coming out with new magazines and new books all the time, can only mean that they haven't found the truth yet.. if they had the truth, they'd be satisfied with their old publications.

  Red eyes

  just the other day i had a horrible witness flashback.

  i remembered that when my dad was an elder...he would come home from his elder meetings with red eyes.

  he also would get red eyes whenever he was mad at the family about something 'spiritual' like how we didn't have the pioneer spirit or how we were wearing to short of dresses (even if they came down to the floor).

  Hi beautiful, and welcome to the forum!

  My pop still would get the red eyes, probably due to the fact that when he would got to those long elder's meetings they would wear on him. Just imagine...sitting for hours and hours listening to someone feeling guilty for something they did, or having to sit and hear someones reason for stalking someones spouse. Believe me, It is frustrating, plus draining. Hence the red eyes.

  Well....at least from my point of view, glad to hear your dad's out though.

  i used to hate it when i'd listen to brother blow give his long winded comment about how we're all supposed to do this or that----and he was barely considered a witness......we had a few elders, and especially the po who would go overtime just because they could.

  the po's bookstudy always went overtime.

  45 minutes into the meeting he was still on paragraph 3. and he would read every scripture including the ones quoted!!!

  well, i was dating this guy and its been a long time since i have even been with anyone that i thought was worthwhile.

  i've been focusing on other things and with everything else going on with trying to gain my independance i just have not wanted to get caught up.

  anyways, how dare the guy i was seeing call the whole jw mind-cult issue "stupid" when i tried to explain to him why i am the way i am (awful social skills, the simple excitement from just being around a new scene, etc.

  Yep, they don't get it. That happened to me in a kind of sort of way. You should check out my post regarding that in the relationship files. It sucks big time. But you know... You get up, brush that dirt off your shoulder and keep going.

  10 Is not the patience of God something to marvel at? In spite of the magnitude of human disobedience, Jehovah has allowed each one of us, along with millions of other people, the opportunity to come to know him and to embrace the hope of salvation. "Consider the patience of our Lord as salvation," wrote Peter to fellow Christians. (2 Peter 3:15) Are we not grateful that Jehovah's patience has opened the way to salvation for us? Do we not pray that Jehovah may continue to be patient with us as we serve him day by day? -Matthew 6:12.

  That paragraph right there depressed me as with the reast of the study in a sense that THAT is the reason that they pushout. When I read the whole article it did'nt "uplift" me at all. It depressed me, and let me know that in THEIR god's eye we are nothing but slaves to him that and that we have no say at all when it comes to the god cleansing this world. As a dub your place in his arrangement as far as the society is concerned is to pump those mags out there. Do as you are told, grin and bear it. Just how many times can they get away with saying, "very soon"/?

  I hate that phrase that they so carelessly just like a fart in the wind.

  i admit i have been a lurker for a few months and now i can finally talk to u guys!

  i want to thank you guys for your honesty on this site and your humor...my husband and i formally dissassociated ourselves from the darling watchtower a few months ago and your site helped us keep our chins up!

  we particularly enjoy blondies weekly commentaries on the watchtower articles!
