although, the complaints may be valid and sad.
many posters here have vented about their wicked parents.. i think its time we parents have a post dedicated to saying something horrid about our kids.
it maybe something you have wanted to say about them that was in the past or happening now.
They are basically good kids. (16 & 18)
They think they know it all, and they think that because they are good kids they deserve everything.
They think we grow money on trees, example... the older one just got his prom this past weekend and it was a constant asking for money, he didn't even realized that he bought the suit instead of renting it.
(he is very thight with his own money but when is ours he is preety liberal)

reading hellriders topic made me wonder about this.. i waited till i was 21 because i was drinking alcohol as a youth and didn't want to get baptized while breaking the law.

okay, this is going to step on someones toes, i just know it.. when i stopped going to the meetings, i was talking a person at the time in the 1990's who had been out for a long time.
i thought it was interesting when he mentioned that he still went to meetings and worshipped jehovah, just not with the watchtower.
so i was wondering what he meant, and one weekend while in california with him and a group function for my employer at the time, he invited me to go a meeting.

When I was attending meetings I used to hear stories about how when a person leaves the org they don't join any religions. Now I know why!! I feel so intelectually raped so angry that I don't want to have anything to do with any form of religion.
2 days ago i received a phone call from an elder that recently moved to the cong i was in.. this elder is the type that feels that he is a big shot!
he gives parts in dc and ca's.. he asked me if he can come to visit, i told him that my husband had to be present and he had to call in advance to make an appointment.. this elder is so obnoxious and treat women as a 2nd class citizens.
any suggestions?.

I think I can postpone the visit for about a month, four or five excuses are easy to make.
If he keeps persisting (which I doubt, most elders are lazy) then I'll tell him that I don't feel comfortable talking to him about my personal life because I barely know him.

Last year in our spanish district convention the speakear from bether swithch to english for about 20 min to address the young audience.
I'm wondering... did he do this on his own or same rules don't apply to all conventions.
