Non organised ex JWs, why?

from time to time we hear that the ex jws should have organised themselves to a high level and that doesn't necessarily mean setting up another religion in opposition to the wts but some sort of rather secular organisation to carry out that task.

no doubt this lack of organisation plays in the hands of the wts who escape the nightmare of a highly organised efficient opposition.

the rough treatment of ex members in my opinion is intentional and aims at emotionally stunning them to pre empt the possibility of them having a clear mind with which to fight their fraudulent, cultic objectives.

After reading all the posts so far, I have to say that becoming organized is probably not the best way to handle our situation.

I appreciate all the fine minds that presented their views, and I have to say that I am convinced.

I did appreciate too Danny Hazzards invitation to get on his list, and I think I will do that, and if there is an opportunity to assist him, I think I will do that, as well as look up Bill Bowen and help out there.

I want all of you guys to know how much I appreciate your intelligence and discernment.

I was there for over a year, got thrown off a couple of times because of my outright oppositon to the WT. But Robert King let me back on. I personally like him very much, but I agree that he is delusional with regard to several of his doctrinal positions.

He basically feels that the WT has been but is NOT now in God's approval. My journey, made easier because of him, has taken me to the conclusion that the WT was NEVER "God's Special Organization". Too much crazy shit in its past.

Some people are not willing to admit that they were just 'fooled'.

Robert, in my opinion is not evil. Just another religionist that wants power and authority over others.

I admire your thoughts, but agree with most that you can't organize us.

HOWEVER, there is already several of 'us' waging a real war against the WT Society. Since "Trust" is an issue, who else could be trusted to carry on heated conflict with the WT Society than DANNY HAZZARD?

I don't believe he has ever asked for a dime, but I bet if you gave him a dime to assault the WT he would use it for that.

What do you think? If Danny started getting checks in for hundreds, maybe thousands of people I have no doubt that he would use the money wisely. Many of us could prevail on him to establish a 'help line' for assisting those who are shoved out of the org. and I am sure that he would look to people like you for assistance.

We have a LARGE group of trustworthy people already on the forum. Blondie, Mary, Danny, yourself, and the list goes on. Some are already organized to assist us with quotes, suggestions, etc.

I think the solution to your suggestion is to use who and what has already proven to have those goals that you mention.

I for one would support an effort like that. Give it some thought.

i cannot imagine this has a fragment of truth... has anyone heard about this?

Good points, Liberty. I, too, think RF had a pretty privileged, cushy place in the org. and had no compelling reason to leave other than the ubiquitous harassment that pushes us all out.
Early in my JW career, when I was a deluded teenager, I was told by an elder that a person who left and spoke out or wrote refutations of Watchtower doctrine had committed the "sin against the holy spirit" and could never be accepted back into the organization (as if one would wish to be). He might have been talking about William J. Schnell, author of Forty Years a Watchtower Slave.
Are there any ex elders out there who can clarify this?

Schnell's book was entitled, "Thirty Years a Slave of the Watchtower" to the best of my memory.

I don't believe that criticizing the WT has ever been viewed as a 'sin against the Holy Spirit'. It is certainly an offense that they take more seriously than immorality or pedophilia, but if you could suppress your gag reflex long enough, and lie convincingly enough, I think you could be reinstated.

Sheep, other sheep, other other sheep, Three classes of sheep?

i got this message from a forum member.. i think you may be confusing the wts' understanding of the "sheep" of matthew chapter 25 (who have not yet been separated from the "goats") and the "other sheep" of john chapter 10. the two groups are not (i.e.

no longer) considered synonymous.. .

Just ran across this today, and it looks like you have a plethora of comments and answers to the question, but I had a suggestion that may help us all understand the WT use of the "little flock", "other sheep" and just regular sheep.

First, there are only two classes of sheep. Dead sheep and live sheep. The live sheep survive armageddon, the dead sheep will be resucitated. When Jesus picks from among both of those groups who will survive, picture him examining the sheep, and pointing, ---"I'll take, ewe, ewe and ewe. But not ewe, ewe or you." That simplifies the process.

With regard to the heavenly 'little flock", they aren't nor ever have been sheep. They are geese. The already have wings and are used to heaven in a sense and since a flock of geese is usually small, they are the little flock. I can't help but gaggle as I write this.

Did the WTS ask Jesus permission to sell 360 Furman ST.

according to the wts, jesus owns all the watchtower properties.

recently the wts sold 360 furman st. for untold millions.

thay obviuosly forgot about jesus and cashed in on his property.

Yeah! and they haven't even paid me for working on it three different times in temporary construction.

I figure they owe me about $10,000. (On 360 alone)

Discussion with Elder....a must read story

for those who don't know i've been 'inactive' for around one year.

i stopped attending meetings late last year.

all during this time i was working on my wife (known on this board as amber rose), helping her see the problems with the watchtower.

Real good job Drew. I admire your effort.

In my case I discussed issues with an elder who told me that "you have serious questions that deserve serious answers", but different from you situation, he did not seem the least bit sincere to me.

Eventually he led the charge against me and my wife and I were df'd...THANK GOD.

The real point is, you tried to help a person at great personal cost to you. I hope he benefits.

Did anyone ever actually go out in street work at 5:30 AM?

When very young in North Little Rock Arkansas we used to do a lot of streetwork, but a little later, bout 7:30.

However in Austin Texas at the South Cong. we used to get out at 5:30 on Wednesdays and do early morning irritation on old age homes and gas stations as well as convenience stores.

Lot of driving, not much preaching about the WT.
