New study - JWs by far the least educated religious group in Canada, Australia and New Zealand
by slimboyfat inthe religion of the educated classes revisited: new religions, the nonreligious, and educational levels - james r. lewis .
the measure lewis uses to compare religious groups is what percentage of members of the respective religions have graduated from college.
the findings are similar to the results of the pew survey in the united states.

Lol btw the sarcasm is to be taken as humorous.

Thank you Simon. If and when you do I will definatly utilize it. I just was not sure if I had missed something in the settings.
Thank you for the work you put into this site!
Have a great weekend!
Not yet, I'd like to provide a weekly-digest option but I haven't had chance to get to it yet.

Interesting you know quite a bit about Grindr :P
Unfortunately I believe not sir,
And unfortunately, unlike Grindr, there isn't a 'paid for' 'version that allows for that either.
Oops, don't wanna give Simon any ideas

I'm aware of that feature, however the issue is I do not come on here very often and I tend to forget. I'm the type that I will write notes to remind myself then forget about the notes.
If the envelope is green you have a PM. If it isn't you don't.

The governing body are digging their own grave.
by atomant insurely the gb aren't naive enough to believe their own lies.what does it take for the majority of j dubs to wake up to themselves and finally realize that they are being robbed on all levels emotionally.financially, spiritually, intellectually and many other aspects of their day to day lives..

It may or may not be too late with the JW's that far into the time line but at this point I think their only hope of organizational survival is to back off of the "End of the System of Things" doctrines and focus on being good Christians, evangelizing, and living day by day while teaching examples from the bible. Also discontinue the shunning doctrine and stop being so dogmatic about 1914 and having to have a definite definition of "this generation" as if they have all the answers. Admit to being wrong.
Maybe Governing Body 3.0. If it lasts that long. Maybe Warwick, Patterson, and Walkill will make wonder future university campuses when Babylon the great (watchtower) collapses.

Regardless if that video is true or fabrication for that specific person, that scenero does happen and active JW's are shunning elderly parents and visa versa with grandchildren. It's sad but the situation does happen.
This is why the governments all over should step in. That's why Russia is giving the JW's a hard time. They break up families, either you're in or we're severing relationship ties.
This brings up a whole different topic. It reminds me of a video of a skit at a convention where the parents were interviewed and how they proudly boasted how they would give their life for their son but if he were to ever leave Jehovah they wouldn't be there for him. The shunning doctrine does not cause people to return to Jehovah because they truly love Him. Disfellowshipped people 'return to Jehovah' because many want their family and friends back and that's the sacrifice they are willing to make. It has NOTHING to do with loving God. Shunning is a control mechanism.
Governments should heavily inspect (not just JW's) religion and any religion that does not offer some sort of charity within the community (even something as simple as volunteering for a soup kitchen) then their tax exempt status should be stripped. What charity does JW's do? They only do for themselves and only for the 'elite'. Sure in a disaster they might assist those that are nearby, but that's only to save face. They don't go OUT into the community for the purpose of assisting all.

That website is a joke right? How obvious can it be? Nowhere did I find the name "Watchtower" which is the LEGAL entity of Jehovah's Witnesses. And charge sales tax?? They should donate those tools to the building committees across the WORLD!! Especially in the poorer nations. Nope! Put more burdens on the flock to donate more so they can buy more to re-sell it.
Also I googled the address provided for the 'business' and the building if it is the correct location (Google has been off a few times) is an actual business under a different name. Montgomery something or another but nothing about Hudson Valley Used Tools, Kingdom Services, etc. and it's behind a bunch of trees!!! Street view you can see the sign!!!
How on God's green earth can members not see this crap?

If Apostates Were Allowed To Stay In The Congregations...
by JW_Rogue inmy wife was playing the "stay loyal" convention that she taped the other day and i noticed the brother said something that wasn't in the outline.
during one of the talks friday on shunning he said "can you imagine if apostates were allowed to stay in the congregations?
the congregations would be a garbage heap instead of the spiritual paradise they are now.
