Everytime I look at videos talking/warning about Jehovah's witness on youtube, I am always so shocked at the venemous replies from the dubs. It's shocking. Are these really the same people who love bomb you at the meetings? I find it quite scary.
To think of all the time they have spent knocking on doors but no one ever wants to listen, and then when they get to say something that gets read by thousands of eyes, they say such hateful things like that!!

Is there a God that CARES ?
by JH ini was born with believeing parents, so automatically, i assumed that there was a god because my parents told me so.. when i was young, i prayed before going to bed and said thank-you for all that i had.. later in life, i realized that what i had came from my parents, not necessarily god.. today, i still believe in god, but i wonder if he cares.. there is something worse than no god.
it's a god that doesn't care and doesn't answer prayers.. when you look at the world as a whole, and see all the suffereing and injustice, you don't ask yourself if there is a god, you just wonder if he cares.. .

Sometimes I wonder how God can see all the suffering and not put an end to it but then I remember that he did the same with his own son. I understand the reasons why, at least I think I do. So Jesus had to suffer without God's intervention so I guess we do too. I do get confused about it though and really angry at times. Oh I don't know...........

New Campaign: "The End of False Religion Is Near" and the Tribulation
by Mikeus inyesterday my wife (an inactive-but-not-yet-df'd jw) and i went over to visit her parent's house (still very active jws), and my mother-in-law handed my wife a flyer entitled 'the end of false religion is near' with a nice evil-destroying lightning bolt pictured on the front.
she whispered to my wife that this was a new campaign and was not supposed to be handed out until next month, but was "very excited, because this is supposed to bring about the tribulation".. they may be right.
inside the two pages they call catholics condoning child molesting (ironic), non-jws blood thirsty war mongers, and how people involved in politics are under mind control (again, ironic), among other things.

I recently disassociated myself but live in a different territory to the hall I attended. I got one of those leaflets put through my letterbox today. I live in a block of flats and noticed that they weren't knocking, just posting. I rushed to the window and saw a small group of witnesses standing outside.
They were stood there for ages and I really wanted to shout out to them "nice way to top up your hours ain't it?" but I didn't have the guts. I stared at them for a while feeling really agitated by their arrogance. I imagined they were full of excitement (or is that excrement?) over their campaign. But saying that, the older men of the group looked really miserable, it made me wonder how many doubts they were harbouring or wether that's just how they looked :)
Anyway, they slowly trudged off. I felt a mixture of pity and annoyance, quite confusing really.

WT monitors sites?
by Gordy inthere was a post on the other day someone was asking about whether the wt monitors websites such as this and other "apostate" sites.. unfortunately i couldn't find it to add this to it.
i remembered a jw who worked on installing computers at london bethel, some time ago telling me that the wt did monitor websites.
this jw is gradually fading away from being one, so can't say to much about him.

There is no (easy automated) way, if someone has embedded an ip-tracking image in this page say, to tell who is a poster and who is just reading the page, and it's certainly not possible to tell that skeptic2 is this ip address and so-and-so is that ip address.
The music industry tried going to different ISPs in the UK a few months back, with lists of ip addresses they alleged were involved in illegal downloading (no evidence was provided). The ISP's response was to tell the music industry where to go. They didn't even consider shutting down people's accounts on the say so that they had done something wrong.
In this case, all the bethel could say is 'they were looking at an internet forum'. Let's get a grip on reality people. -

our kingdom hall had only one dark skinned individual, who is portguese, and one of the anointed.
i believe that he is now deceased.

I hate that song. I sang the verse over and over again without realising when I was in the supermarket once. (quietly of course). URGH
I think your on to something there, they definately have a brainwashing feel.
Do you think that due to the lack of oomph to the melodies, it was quite impossible to make them sound nice? Everyone seemed to sing them so faintly and mumbly like meek little mice about to crumble.
