i think not that many, and when i have alluded to this with young couples over the years they usually look as guilty as hell if this is hinted at.. so if this is the case how can god be blessing their marraiges and in turn the organization if this is common?.

Me too Doofdadddy, my wife left us when they were 12 and 14 and I felt a bit odd as it seems there is more single mums ,but it did help me to gain the perspective of these mums and how hard it can be in all ways. eg When their mum is interstate and your daughter starts her period what do you do to advise ,help ,understand etc?
The experience taught me more empathy for ones in the same situation and I admire men who take this on but sometimes the courts don't lean to men so favourably ,I was lucky that way she did'nt want any responsibility. It's amazing ,as Katiekitten showed , that it's hard to cope with the thought of a woman abondoning their own flesh like this.
Mine are married and I have lotsa lovely grand kids now.....see there are rewards!

i am just curious, what practices do jw have that would be considered demonic?
i am not clear about what the memorial service would entail that would be demonic?
oviously i am not a jw, however a good friend (or ex friend not sure of the status at this point) is a jw.

Perhaps considering what Jesus's thoughts were for the thinking of the religious leaders of his day may help. He said they were offspring of vipers and from their father the devil so if you consider if todays religious people act like them then they are demonic, doing things in opposition to Christ and the Father.
Here you will read many accounts of harsh treatment by the JW'S and their ways upon people ,so evaluate for yourself what actually is demonic ,whether it's practising magical arts or powers, or seeing the destruction of peoples lives by people of the Watchtower Society ie marraige attitudes, blood, telling people they are cannibals if taking an organ transplant and then changing their minds and saying it's a conscience matter now, etc etc

Sorry to hear of your troubles but I would like to theorize that perhaps she has met another witness and sees that as the easier path and has grown to see you as baggage that will not change for her to the JW crap.
What she may be counting on is you being "worldly" and needing company with another person so she gets the easy way to be free to marry a "brother" ,as she will say you are committing adultery and that frees her up for a scriptual divorce. See she can get a legal divorce anytime but the Elders won't recognise the divorce unless she shows you are an adulterer.
So make it hard for her any way you can to hide any future adultery on your part ,that way she can't marry again - ok it sounds devious but she has torn down your dignity and does'nt deserve your respect by giving her an easy way out. Like they say "you can only fight fire with fire" and in that way you can free yourself up for a positive new future without the memories of a controlling bitch and organisation backing her ,the society is full of manipulative people....took me 30 years to see enough and say that is enough!

for some strange reason i started thinking about the fact that i've never seen a speaker podium like the ones used at the kh anywhere aside from the kh.

What the GB did I think years ago was to say that only spindly leg ones were allowed coz the speakers were always hiding their erections behind the big cumbersome ones ,so now when they look down blouses and up skirts in the front row they now must use self control or molest a child in the latrine instead, where there are no witnesses.
ok. we have that "special" campaign ahead.....i still don't know how i will avoid participating....my family is all excited and will put the pressure on.....i might get my 50 tracts and toss them somewhere......it will look suspicious that i finished after an hour and "placed" 50 pcs in a territory that is closed to jw.....anyway.

everybody at my hall is all excited about this special tract and i can't get the nice conversations i usually have with a few going, because of the excitement.
ZICO is right ....it's the 37 th tract and it's October the 10th month and 37 is significant coz 3+7 =10 which represents earthly completeness so we're all gonna die!!!!!

Good topic
Mine came from the feelings I had about myself when leaving and discovering this site. I felt foolish for having so many doubts about JW life and practises for so many years and not taking a positive step to enquire of other sources of info apart from the Watctower org. Yet my heart questioned so much and I spoke out so much out about things I saw as wrong and yet did not get DF'd for I think people saw my motive was true.
Yet when learning so much from sites like this I had to finally make my move to be honest with myself, and leave so I could respect myself fully.
I did change my picture for a while(which is my dog that picked up my grand childs dummy) but soon changed it back as I feel it may convey what so many others feel for being a witness, that is foolish and yet viewed now by other witnesses as a DOG not worthy of freindship
