Does anyone have knowledge about the Paralegal field? I am considering it as a new career, if things continue to get more miserable at my job. Specifically, what salary range could I look for? What about online degrees? Are they acceptable to employers and just as good as a degree from a brick and mortar classroom? I am very interested in this type of work, and curious if the money spent on internet universities would be a good investment. I would take the classes in spare time, while continuing to work.

Everything will go fine, Aude! And just think, you get to rest up and watch lots of TV, take naps, and play on the computer, and not feel a bit guilty about it! Take care!

I agree, I thought he had black eye liner on, and my gaydar was going off. I think he's bisexual. Any one else think so, or wonder? Where is Sherry?

I thought the show was very bland. He's shaved his facial hair, except for the hint of a thin mustache, and he didn't do any of his r
aunchygood songs. The dancers were covered up to their chins, too and very modest movements. What a shame. I wondered about that cross thing too... is that scriptural and approved? -

What do elders talk about behind closed doors?
by JH injust about every time i went to the kingdom hall, i used to see a few elders gather in the 2nd school and close the door and stay there maybe 10 or 15 minutes.
oh, what they were doing seemed so important... .
what the heck do they talk about behind these closed doors?.

"The elders are mean to each other..." boy is that true, Blondie. I remember how upset my dad would be on the way home from the meetings. He would tell mom about the political maneuvering & backstabbing going on. They thought I was asleep in the back seat, but I was listening. He was often the target, because he didn't kiss butt. It was just a given, before the CO's visit to watch your back cuz they were always up to something. And they wonder why I got out as soon as I could support myself?!!

Well, I've occasionally asked if an individual knew Brother So&So (naming a relative I'm curious about) and I'm not up to anything! Just up to 5'3" 128 lbs, blond & ditzy & curious about family members still in! I sure hope I didn't set off red flags for anyone, if so, I apologize!

Jesus Cano - sentenced to 2 to 6 years, then deportation
by stevenyc inhttp://www.recordonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?aid=/20070130/news/701300316/-1/news .
cano, 50, of the hamlet of wallkill, was sentenced in orange county court to two to six years behind bars for propositioning underage boys in middletown last summer.
cano had a u.s. green card when he was arrested last year, but because he was convicted of sex offenses, his card was revoked.

I can see it now, when he turns up at Los Testigos De Jehova... "I am return, mis hermanos, to serve wheeeere the need is grande. They ask me to come back, to heelp heeer, breeng in the lost juans." How wonderful Brother Jesus has not forgot the Brothers at home, giving up his New York City life to come home and encourage them!

Another jw story I got
by dedpoet ini received this in an email from a jw today.
i know the person who sent it, i used to be in his congregation, and he suggested i put it on my site.
i assume he was joking, it certainly isn't going on there, but i thought i'd share it with you guys.

A couple things made this sound to me like another of their bogus, fabricated experiences. First, why would "John" have to work a bunch of extra hours just to pay for a used TV and video? You can get one at rent to own for a pittance per week.
And where was the loving congregation? Why should "Jenny" have been so lonesome?
And, they usually say that once people get back on spiritual track, they get rid of the stumbling blocks to their spiritual progress. I didn't see where "J & J" gave up their electronics, just because they were going to the Hell again.
Another fluffy, heart warming & prolly 50% embellished story! Good enough for an ass-embly experience! Watch for this to come to a convention near you!
Thanks for posting! I get a laugh from these experiences that circulate, but it also reminds me how glad I am that I'm out!

Giving Up The Struggle
by choosing life ini recently realized that i don't know or need to know the answers to the big questions in life.
the details no longer matter to me.
i just kinda gave up on the struggle to be right or in the know.

I just try to do my best every day, be kind to people, honest, follow the ten commandments...and guess what? That's pretty much what Jesus is asking us to do, anyhow! Nothing ever said we have to make 5 meetings a week, go to awful ass-emblies, force ourselves & our little kids out door to door in the snow, underline Witchtowers, die from needing blood, ignore Jesus' birthday, etc.
Maybe I'm deluding myself, but it feels pretty good living this way... simplified, just doing the basic good things, the right things and no rigmarole!

Did your husband hurt his back on the job? He may not be able to work for awhile, and might need extended treatments. You may have to talk to an attorney about an on the job injury claim, so at least his medical bills are paid, though it could mean a huge rift with the Father in Law. He can't just leave your husband to fend for himself and turn his back, if he is technically the employer.
If he hurt his back off work, that's another can of worms. Father in Law shouldn't turn his back on the injury because you're family. Please let us know how it turns out for you!
