Ahhh...maybe I don't get any ownership, but I get the pleasure of never having to contribute again. That's good enough for me.

Should't we own a part of the Kingdom Hall?
by JH inafterall, most of us spent years there.
many of us took our time and money to build the hall.
many of us renovated the hall afterwards.. shouldn't the halls belong to the ones who built it and put money into it and who go there regularly?.

Did u want to leave the org bcause u were doing something immoral?
by Will2Power in..and then sought to justify your leaving the organisation/religion by researching websites like this (to salve your conscience, justify continuing in your pleasurable but unscriptural lifestyle), or did you sincerely leave purely because you discovered certain false teachings, scandals, etc, while still living a moral, christian lifestyle?
be honest now, i mean really honest.
(this is not meant to offend anyone but viewed like a survey).

Pure as the driven snow, here. Just got tired of the continual backstabbing from the "friends". Those people have nothing more to do than gossip, their lives are so boring.

Did I miss my opportunity?
by StillGroggy inim a long time witness but the last district convention with all of it's "don't think for yourself" propoganda led me to this board.
lately i've been trying to formulate a plan, to try and reason with her and get us both out (although her whole family is in, and probably will be till death)
my wife has at times been dissilussioned with the org, but, ironically, i'm usually the one to comfort her and tell her to wait on jehovah.

I hope you're not in the business of selling things, you missed your chance to "close" the deal. Big time! OK, maybe that was insensitive, keep up your efforts, she'll come around. Most of all, be patient, put yourself in her shoes, this will be very tough for her to get her arms around.

Why all the secrecy?
by joe_black inrecently, my fleshly brother, who thinks he's a jw(apologist), handed my somewhat naive wife the tract "the end of false religion is near".....he was being somewhat covert she told me.
he told her don't tell anyone where she got it from, not to tell even me (which she did)...why all the secrecy?
he was acting like he was handing over some secret documents or something, this is nothing new.

Say You're a Bethelite & Monitoring JWD - How Would You Feel About THESE??
by Seeker4 ini'm talking about the new posters, like kitten whiskers, who started posting today (hope this works: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/120817/1.ashx).
and it seems like we're getting a few like this nearly every day.
people who were raised jws, really worry that they are doing the right thing in leaving, yet who have been made to feel not good enough by the wts, who felt they never measured up, who struggled with it, but came to realize that what they'd been brought up to believe was just not the truth.. the same stories are told over and over again, and they come from sincere, good people - not whiny, fault-finding apostates like the rest of us riffraff around here!

This is exactly why I left. As an MS, my hopes were that one day I could actually be of some help to the congregation, really, sincerely helping people. But all that was dashed to pieces by the powers in control because of their crass, power hungry policies. I'm done, I can help people elswhere.

No, I prefer to dress in suit. LOL Where DID that phrase come from anyway..."dressed to the nines"? And...sorry Brookie, I hadn't read all the way through the thread, the "What if your husband" question had already been addressed.
