BIG ELDERS MEETING ON THE BLOOD ISSUE! SHOCKING CHANGES AFOOT!?

i have just been informed that something is going in with the blood issue within the borg.. a large meeting is being held this weekend with local elders and also many elders from all over the country/the united kingdom and members from the bethel and hospital liason committee to discuss the blood issue.. is anyone else aware of what this is going to be about?.

i wondered whether this would be part of the expected or possible changes that the organization is expected to announce this year that might lose them many members.

any elders here know anything?.

No, I don't know whats going on, but at my parents bookstudy this morning, the elder asked my dad to take care of his DPA because he's changing his information because of the blood thing - I was only half listening. I should've been paying more attention.

I am happy someone brought this question up, because my boyfriend and I got into a huge fight and he kissed another girl (a girl who he grew up with and she also confessed she liked him). He said that he told her he only wanted to be with me and ever since that happened I am having a hard time trusting whenever she is around him.

He said that she understands they are just friends, but she has been in his life forever and she's pretty much staying there... I want to be with him, but I do have a trust issue and I just really don't know what to do.

A truly great kiss to me is feeling the passion in the kiss, knowing that at that moment that person is only thinking about kissing you and feeling your lips and you are thinking about the same thng. To me, its feeling that feeling while you are kissing.

yep my fade has come to a stop, got the phone call off my dad today he asked me if i celebrate christmas and birthdays and i said yes, and so he said they are going to go ahead with the disassociation letter i sent over two years ago!!!!..

he said that after today the only phone calls i will get are if there is an emergency, but nothing social my response to that was well you havnt seen or spoken to me for over a year im used to it.. he also said there was no bad feelings and that i should never doubt there love for me, and that the stupid thing of it is they can associate with mike and the kids just not me.. im really happy and calm about it, ive had my initial cry over it, and now i feel good that i dont have to lie and hide things anymore.. its such a relief.. luv ya all.

That is awesome Es. I wish I had balls like you. I am too afraid to lose my parents. My dad had a heart attack when I was disassociated before and that killed me that I couldn't talk to people when I went to visit him in the hospital, I could barely talk to him. It killed me. So I got reinstated and I just want to move away and fade, I have been slowly making excuses not to go to the meetings though, so we'll see.

I am happy for you though! You have given me motivation

My mom told me I had one foot in the door with Jehovah and the other one with Satan and she said that with the time being "sooooo close" that I need to make up my mind because Jehovah isn't going to wait on me forever.... bah humbug!

Welcome! I know how you feel about losing your family. I am deeply scared of actually leaving too and my parents are starting to give me ultimadums and that is just driving me insane. I moved home to help out, but I cannot take it anymore. I am slowly starting to fall apart again and that isn't healthy for me at all.

If you ever need to talk, I am in college right now and I bet I can relate to some of the stuff that you are going through.

just had a call from a jw undercover.... says the march awake is teaching the question on sex again "what young people ask" telling them about hooking up!!!!

i am begining to think that maybe those up in the writing department must get horny while writng all this stuff -the lad that called says he gets horny reading it.

My parents didn't come in contact with the religion until I was 8. They didn't really do much until my grandma died of a blood transfusion. My mom and her were really close, and I think at that time that my mom looked for something to fill that void of losing her mother. With her having a bible study, I think the lady stressed how they didn't approve of blood transfusions, so my mom grasped on to this and ever since they've been controlling and my life has been hell. But I am slowly getting out of it, it will come soon enough.

Watchtower misquotes really make me mad !

the feb 1st wt has a banner headline on the cover "must we always tell the truth" - inside it says (p1) "' i hate lies and i hate being lied to" exclaimed a 16 year old girl" ... so , o.k.

we must expect that anyone printing such things must themselves be absolutely honest and truthful .. so why do they use misleading quotations that are, practice, nothing short of lies?

many have been documented but this one came my way recently while using another thread .. the book "let your kingdom come" has an appendix dealing with babylonian and jewish chronology .

yep....'tis true....she's more entertaining, better looking, and apparently provides hours of ''fun activities''.

sometimes they get together with her one of her friends and play well into the night.... her name?.

.. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. xbox 360 and her friend gears of war.. lol...he got the gow game yesterday and stayed up till past midnight playing.
