Did you "cry" when the JW's elders Disfellowshipped or Disassociated you?
by booker-t inmy niece who is 19 and involved with a "married" man had to meet with her jw's elders last week.
she was terrified because the elders have told her time and time again to get rid of her "married" boyfriend but she refused.
she is head over heels in love with the guy.

Oddly enough, when I DA'd myself, I didn't cry, but when I got reinstated I balled, everyone did. My parents, elders and my old friends and family, we all just cried for like 30 mins together, it was F-ing crazy! I was the "example" and I was the prodigal son (well daughter in my case) coming back. I guess everyone knew I would. I can only imagine what they will think when I leave again.... poor people!

See, sometimes I think yes and sometimes I think no. I wonder what was really behind C.T Russell's motive for starting something like the WTBTS. I guess I will never know.... I guess right now I think that they are because they are having 6 million people give a bad witness and they are trying to have others do the same.

Help!!!!! How do I get out of vacation?
by collegegirl21 inokay, so spring break is coming up soon.
i just got off of the phone with my jw mother (i'm still in the religion), and i found out that although i'm in college and was planning on going somwhere else for my spring break, that i now have to go down to memphis, tn with her, my dad and my 2 non-believing aunts and 1 non-believing uncle in an suv from wisconsin.
i then have to stay with them for 5 days while my granddad and my mom fight over scriptures (my granddad is a 7th day adventist) and do nothing.

Well I dont live at home, I live an hour away from home and that's where I go to school. Its just a matter of figuring out how to get my credit back together (my ex-fiance and I screwed each other over) and being able to get my own car so I don't have to depend on them. Once I have that, then I will be ok because I pay for school and most of my rent by myself.
I'm pretty independent when it comes to that sort of thing, but my mom knows how to guilt trip me into doing what she wants to do and I just don't know how to say no because then I feel bad at her for getting mad at me. -

Well while I am in school they are helping me a little bit financially and they are letting me use their car since I live an hour away, and I think that my mom (she's sneaky and can be evil) will use that to her advantage because I have been making excuses for not going to the meetings the past 3 weeks. So she will think that I owe it to her to go and that by meeting the "friends" and going out in service with them that I will have "good association."

I tried the whole school thing (she said I can do the work while driving) and she knows I'm not working because I took off because I was going to go to Daytona, but my mom stopped that immediately. And I can't play the sick card because I'm sick right now and if I get worse my mom said I was definitely going with her so she could keep an EYE on me...

Okay, so spring break is coming up soon. I just got off of the phone with my JW mother (I'm still in the religion), and I found out that although I'm in college and was planning on going somwhere else for my spring break, that I now have to go down to Memphis, TN with her, my dad and my 2 non-believing aunts and 1 non-believing uncle in an SUV from Wisconsin. I then have to stay with them for 5 days while my granddad and my mom fight over scriptures (my granddad is a 7th Day Adventist) and do nothing. Oh but wait, I will not just be doing nothing, they have just informed me that I will have to go out in service (I have not gone out in service since last summer - wait, one Saturday in Oct. for 2 hrs) with a congregation I have never met and I will have to go to meetings because according to my mom, "I NEED THE ASSOCIATION."
Now what am I supposed to do? I have tried everything I could to get out of it, but now I have to help my ministerial servant dad drive down there. Please help me or give me advice for what to do so I won't kill them and confess that I hate the religion and I don't believe it.... SUGGESTIONS NEEDED!
