Well I came in when I was ten and I hated every second of it. I didn't understand my parents reasoning for taking a study, so I just went along with it. And they pressured me into getting baptized. I just never really felt like the religion was my own. I always knew I stood out and that I am not going to be in it forever.

Yes, I love dancing, although I'm not very good at it. What sort of lessons? Some friends of mine learned how to salsa, meringue (I think that's how you spell it) and other dances too...

Hmm, I never really noticed that until you brought it up, but most of the congregations I've been to in Wisconsin don't have windows either. Not even on the doors. I'm not sure why that is. I might have to ask my parents that question. Maybe they will give me an answer from the "Governing Body."

Schne_belly... where up north? Its pretty warm down here today. It was around 46 degrees.... my friends are going to Chestnut Mtn, in Galena... I think next week, we might head up to Devil's Head - I think... not sure... but have fun! -

I bought a cross.

i bought myself a celtic cross, i will admit i picked one out that i hope isn't recognizable to my parents.
i know it is pathetic to be 31 and still afraid of what they think but i am not ready to lose them.

Help!!!!! How do I get out of vacation?
by collegegirl21 inokay, so spring break is coming up soon.
i just got off of the phone with my jw mother (i'm still in the religion), and i found out that although i'm in college and was planning on going somwhere else for my spring break, that i now have to go down to memphis, tn with her, my dad and my 2 non-believing aunts and 1 non-believing uncle in an suv from wisconsin.
i then have to stay with them for 5 days while my granddad and my mom fight over scriptures (my granddad is a 7th day adventist) and do nothing.

you don't believe in god... ever find yourself praying?

so far as i can tell, there isn't much evidence to support his existence... .
but sometimes i find myself in what appears to be a prayer.

Even as a witness I never really found myself praying. I would only pray around my parents. Sometimes I catch myself praying, but I think he already knows what I am thinking so to me it just isn't necessary. Although I think when I prayed to find the "truth" something brought me to this website... weird huh?
