Wow, I really couldn't put a pin on it until you said something. That was that feeling when I left the meeting tonight. I participated and even read scriptures, but as they went through the last part of the service meeting I couldn't focus, all the words they were saying to go help people b/c its the time of the end - that is why we get all the different presentations because we're really trying to save them. Bullshit! If we are suppose to feel saved, how come I leave the meetings feeling worse than I did when I walked through the door? I have a feeling my time will be shorter than even I might think.

Pink Slips

" some three months later the pink slips are being given out.

Film Scenes that got burnt onto your memory
by greendawn inwhat were some film scenes that pleased or horrified you so much that they stayed vivid in your memory for a long time?
the one i always recall is the scene where anthony hopkins (playing as hannibal lector) lobotomised ray liotta (paul krendler) cutting off pieces of his brain and giving them to him to eat.
he also took some of liotta's cooked brain in a plane and gave them to an unsuspecting passenger boy sitting next to him to eat.

In dirty dancing... when baby is crawling on the floor to the guy (I forget his name) and she's singing, "baby, my sweet baby, you're the one." I don't know why I remember that, but I always seem to... its one of my favorite movies :)

Well when I was out of the religion I got one before coming back in and when they saw it, at least the brothers at my Kingdom hall said if I would've gotten it while I was still in that I could've been reproved. I'm not sure why though, I stopped listening after a while.

Do they themselves believe?
by Kristofer insometimes i wonder, with the number of letters that the wt receives refuting doctrine & practices, does the gb really buy what they put out?
or are they just pushing literature and living off the collections from congregations.
i would think that if i received overwhelming evidence of the faultiness of my religion, i'd be forced by my own conscience to change or speak up or make a difference.

I think they know its not, but what are they going to do now? Just stop and say, "Hey we're done publishing everything. Have a nice life." I think that because they are making money off of it and because so many people rely on them that they will just keep on trucking through.
