  i often wonder wether there will be a day in my lifetime when i hear-.

  'it has been confirmed that a nuclea bomb has been droped on _________ by the ________ , total damage cannot be assesed nor numbers, but the city of _______ is no more......'.

  with the way america is acting lately, i have to wonder wether they are medling into other countries affairs too much, and now with this speach that bush made naming countries, asking congress for the highest ever defence budget since the cold war ect ect.. what is the hidden agenda in all of this?

  that core question, more than anything else, defines what jehovahs witnesses are about, in that we are outspoken advocates and supporters of jehovahs right as sovereign to require obedience from his creatures.

  the flip side of that is, of course, rebellion against god, which is expressed in numerous ways and on all levels of society.

  And this budget also includes cuts in labor and worker protection laws. I saw "W" on Fox this morning talking about how it never costs too much to protect our country. Why doesn't he take the same view in protecting our workers? Social Security? Sad, sad. America is just turning into a police state....

  i'm just curious to know if there would be anything sensational to discover if you somehow managed to listen in on or record a meeting of the "power" elite at bethel or a gb session.. would you just be listening to some senile old men droning on about the bible or do you think it would be something that would be scandalous to the max for your average dub?

  i know that c of c talked a bit about the meetings the gb had and for the most part it sounded pretty boring to me.

  but i wonder where the really juicy stuff is talked about?

  Jesus Christ..I gues this crap is coming from the same folks who hate the ACLU. Look like it's inspired by Jerry Falwell comments on Sept 11, when he basically stated that it was our fault for letting the the ACLU take prayer our fo schools and letting the lesbians, homosexuals, and feminists run our country...(sigh)...

  !think about it what makes an actor,popstar,author,etc popular, them or its believers i mean cmon anything sells today even if its crap,people go on and on about the bible being inspired and beneficial for teaching but are other self help books inspired or are counselers or therapists inspired so back to the question is the bible inspired by god or mans imagination?

  Inspired? Sure. Inspired by who? Not sure of that one. If God exists, the only possibly inspired by him is nature itself. The Bible itself is full of too many contradictions, rapes, women and baby killings,and polygamists to be inspired by anyone with a brain..

  while doing some research, i came across a cnn.com article, nov. 18, 1998, about the jonestown massacre, and reflections 20 years after.

  one subtopic, "paradise becomes a prison," caused flashbacks from my time in the tower.

  towards the end, i felt like a prisoner serving time.

  I always loved how the organization made it sound as though they thought up the whole "utopian" idea on their own. All of a sudden our physical bodes will run forever, kids will playing with lions, no more sickness, war, blah blah. I remember my mother saying when i was 11 when we were talking about me one day driving, "(sigh) well, I feel sure the new system will be here before you're old enough to get your lisence". Look at me now, mom!
