Do you believe that Demons really Exist.
by MARTINLEYSHON inthe reason why i have asked such is question is that i served as a congregation elder for 12 years.
i served as the presiding overseer for 10 years, and as chairman and media spokes-person for a particular region.
during my time within the organisation that being almost 30 years, i have concluded that there is, as far as my own experience is concerned grave doubt in my mind as to the existence of the devil and his demonic hoard.

Disfellowshipping vs.Going mainstream
by integ inhi friends,.
i was thinking that the wts was headed toward a more "mainstream" platform for a while with the loosening up of the "college thing" and what it seemed were a switching over of what were once df'ing offenses to now becoming "conscience" matters..blood, voting, etc.
(although the wt literature says they are "conscience' matters we all know what the real deal is) anyway, i had thought that maybe the society was going to try to soften public perception to them.

funky derek, I have to politely and respectfully disagree with you. Sasquatch lives in my neighborhood. We discovered this last summer at the annual neighborhood barbecue and pool party. He took his shirt off to get in the pool and people ran screaming, gathering up the children, fleeing in panic. We were all traumatized.
We are not inviting him this year.

Were YOU Gossiped About In The Congregation?
by minimus indo you know who the worst offenders were??
the elders.
the elders, because they were "shepherds and overseers" believed they had the right to talk about you, your family, your job, your personality and so forth.....they pick apart any male in the hall under the guise of seeing whther someone "might qualify for privileges".

definitely....one particularly stinging remark that got back to me when I was a teenager had something to do with my "Jaclyn Smith Hair".
Damn jealous sisters.

Hi Martin, it's funny you brought this up because I have recently been giving this some thought. I've been swaying towards atheistic views but that made me consider that if I doubt the existence of a God then I must also doubt the existence of a Devil and demons.
And one of the things I have continued to believe was that there are demons. I have never had any personal experiences regarding demons, I just have always felt that things like UFO and alien sightings, ghost stories etc were easily explained away as it was just the demons at work. So I'm having to rethink the whole demon thing.

For cat lovers: How to decide when to put the old sick cat down...
by nsrn ini have an almost 18 year old cat, a manx calico named spunky.
at birth, she was rejected by her mother and so my mom dropper fed this kitten until it was big enough to eat from a bowl, and then the cat moved in with us.
my daughter was about 3. she's always been my cat.

So sorry you are going through this. I've had to do same with three cats over the years (14 years, 10 years and 16 years old....so they all had pretty good long lives). 18 years is outstanding, your kitty has had a wonderful life.
I will add one thing from the experience I had with my one cat that had a fast growing cancer...she purred when she was in pain. The vet said that they do that sometimes to comfort themselves and help ease their pain. Much like we as humans may do deep breathing or practice relaxation when we are in pain.

Picked up the hairspray instead of the deodorant right after I'd shaved my underarms.
