  if you could rent a bill board where you knew jehovah's witnesses would see it, what would you put on it to try to effectively reach them?

  and don't forget that lots of other people would see it to.

  maybe the regular joe would be able to develope some good questions from your ad too.

  the wtbts, at least here in the uk, makes loans to congregations of jws for mortgages to build kh's at a 'reasonable rate of interest'.. does the wtbts pay tax on the interest it is making, since this is clearly not a charitable earning or donation?

  Interestingly , I once raised the question with a financial whizz in Bethel as to what would happen to the assets if (much to the delight of apostates) JWs were dissolved. The society (in the UK at least) is "owned" by its members , in the same way as a building society or club and a "windfall" payment would be made to all witnesses following the sale of all assets and repayment of all secured debts , in the same way that payments were made to building society and insurance members during the eighties & nineties.

  ROFL! Would anyone really believe this BS?

  dozy isn't getting it. The bottom line is the WBTS collects enough money in donations every year to pay cash outright for every single new Kingdom Hall or old Kingdom Hall renovated all over the world. There should never be a need for a "fund raising" when a need arises. Money is donated and said money should be SPENT not LOANED.

  See, this is what I could never accept. They collect all this money in donations for the Kingdom Hall Building fund and then they "loan" it to the congregations. What a scam.

  do you actually say "the friends" in the US? that sounds quite strange to me... here in the UK, "friends" are usually unbaptised publishers and/or non-witness visitors...

  Yes they do and it's really creepy. I've always hated it. Which reminds me so much of this....

  Did anyone in the US catch last year's installment of Big Brother. Where the house pretty much divided right down the middle and the one group called themselves "The Friendship". I totally got a weird witness vibe from those people. They talked in circles, they called the other group "evil" (the other group being much more rational and sane, mind you), they kept professing how in the end they would be vindicated (not in those exact words, but same meaning). It really gave me the creeps. I thought that group would feel really comfortable inside a Kingdom Hall.

  according to statements in the past from the society regarding the time when those in the graves worthy of an earthly resurection will recieve their reward....it seems the idiots didn't think of something that would have made a bit more sense.. in the article below....they state the resurection cannot take place until all those of the annointed class are dead and resurected first......yet they continually printed the numbers of those still left on earth while at the same time....preached the end was anytime now.
