  I wonder if this Brother Lett is related to former Dallas Cowboy defensive tackle Leon Lett, who upon recovering a fumble in the last quarter of Super Bowl 27 danced his way towards the endzone. Seeing that the condition of his heart was too cocky, the angels steered a Buffalo Bill in his direction to knock the ball out of his hand. Costing the Cowboys the record of most points ever scored in a Super Bowl. Ahhh, the scriptures say it best.....

  And don't forget to stop by the KFC (Kingdom Fried Chicken) booth during lunch for the number 2 combo....one piece of greasy fried chicken and a slice of white bread wrapped in aluminum foil. That will be twelve tickets please. Additional announcements.... "For your convenience every other men's restroom will be converted to a women's restroom as noted by the hand stenciled signs masking taped to the doors. Please do not remove these signs so that we do not have a repeat of last year's debacle which resulted in several disfellowshippings." and.... "To whomever "removed" the grey spray painted sponges to be used in todays drama "Zechariah - The Man Who Got Stoned" (sponsered by the Legalize Marijuana Party) please return them immediately to the information desk (which is really just an eight foot fold out table with another hand stenciled sign masking taped to the front)."   Ask about the implications of the WTBTS filing an Amicus Curiae with the California Court System in SUPPORT of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries. And then as a result of Swaggart losing his case, the WTBTS switched to a "donation" method for literature. Isn't that a little like "sleeping with the enemy". Full story here...

  Sorry I should have been more specific, which Christian religions do not accept the trinity?

  Thanks for the info on the Unitarians. I'll check them out. I have a JW relative who frequently uses the argument that the Witnesses are the only "Christian" religion that does not teach the trinity. I know that's not true but I'm having a hard time coming up with the right phrase to google to find them.

  A guy gets to heaven and St. Peter is showing him around. The two of them began walking down a long hallway, and they came to a door. Peter opened the door and they heard all of these people singing hymns, and Peter said to the guy, "Oh, here are all the Methodists." Then they walked on a little further, and came to another door, and opened it, and saw a bunch of people dressed up and the strong smell of incense, and Peter said, "Oh, here are all the Episcopalians." They walked on, and came to another door, and opened it, and saw a bunch of people shouting and jumping up and down, and Peter said, "Oh, here are all the Pentecostals." But then they walked near another door, only this time, instead of opening it, Peter said to the guy, "Ssshhhh, we have to be quiet.   well, i've decided to try my hand at a different type of writing.

  my atheist's book of bible stories is nearly complete, so i thought i would write the epic masterpiece history of my family, from the time that they came to canada until today.

  i am calling the book "east of edenwold" (which is a small town in saskatchewan).

  One of the highlights of every convention is the Bible drama. The audio track is prerecorded and boomed over the football stadium’s tinny public address system. The play is then lip-synced by a group of carpet layers and window washers in bed sheets and glue-on beards who are so far away that they could only indicate who is speaking by frantically waving their arms. I believe that classifying this as the high point says something about how desperate we were for a break in the monotony.

  I shouldn’t be so hard on the actors, though. Many years later, I performed in three Bible dramas. I don’t like to brag, but in the Jeremiah drama, it was my performance that turned the name “Man 3” into a household word. I was the guy who helped the guy, who helped the guy, who helped Jeremiah get out of the well.

  This is funny for two reasons. The first being that this is very clever and well written humor. And second because it is so spot on. It certainly inspired a deja vu for me. How laughable it is looking back. Thank you for the best chuckle of the day!

  Also, cuckoo......."birds of a feather, flock together". Somehow seems very appropriate.
