  Why would a woman want to look like that?

  i was leafing through a diet and exercisie magazine my wife subscribes to and noticed (not for the first time) that the female fitness models don't look like women at all.

  --they look like anorexic teenaged boys with long hair.. skinny to the point of emaciation is not fit.

  i would be willing to bet that not one of these models could even run a 10k.

  i don't know how this happened and how they met, but a relative, a jw elder and my old po talked about us leaving the wts.

  (he said this to my wife).

  they reasoned, how could someone, who was a pioneer, bethelite, worked at the rbc, district and circuit level, taught at the pioneer school, helped dozens to baptism, suddenly and inexplicably, leave jehovah's organization?.

  In "Wolves amoung Sheep" the book about the Canadian Jw who murders his wife and 2 stepkids,the first thing the elders ask him in jail was if it were the demons that made him do it. I find that ironic.

  so i'm playing the theocratic warfare card, rather than let them know i was once a witness and now disfellowshipped, i'll just pretend to be interested and maybe accept a bible study..lol.

  Be careful.They keep records and do background checks.I know this cuz my dad was an elder.Couldnt you just join a band instead?or get a tattoo?Either way,good luck,and be careful.ok?

  how many disfellowshipped ones on this board have actually had follow up elder visits "encouraging" them to return to the meetings?.

  i have been df'ed for 15 years now, and i have never had one visit (i am not saying that is a bad thing!

  ) from an elder encouraging me to return to the organization.

  JW sister told my newly widowed mom that it would "look bad"if

  if i took her to the memorial this year.im df'd for years,but out of love and respect for my parents i always gave them this one night.my mum dosent drive.i was going to drive her and sit by her.i promised my dad that i would always do this for him.he was pretty cool,even tho he was an elder.my "devout" sister {who has never lifted a finger to help my parents}told her yesterday that it "wouldnt look good" for me to show up w/my mum,altho everyone knows that i have done everything for my parents,both before my dad died in december and since.

  is my sister just jealous that i have a fabulous life,am beautiful,rich,a guitar god,have excellent cool hair, xray vision,can communicate with aliens and have supernatural abilities?

  or is she just mean?lol..btw,i am going.and im taking my mum and we are going to sit in the front row,and yes,im gonna wear velvet.....

  Yeah,Im going to tae her tonight. Jamiebowers,watch that sinus stuff.lol I will be sitting in the front tonight with my mum,and a big ol' smile and crazy rock and roll hair,and velvet.Plan on making some serious eye contact with the P.O.who is about to go to Italy{where the need is great???}.Yep.You guys rock.Gave me a good attitude.Thanks ya'll.If you ever get to Maine,Any of you,let me know...

  i'm brand new to the board.

  long time, "big shot" elder, ....taught at km school, conventions, etc.

  yeah, i know it means nothing....but it gives you an idea of how deep i've been a jw.. i don't even really know what to write at this point.

  Daringheart,Welcome.This is one of the best groups of folks Ive ever dealt with.Occasionaly there will be a troll,but mostly it folks just like you and me.Ive gotten a lot of help and support and solice from coming here.I just wish that we could all meet somewhere and meet and hug and eat ice cream sandwiches together.You made a good choice coming here.Bravo to you.

  Oh,A few years ago,when my house blew off the face of the earth{furnace mishap},my sister told several people that it was "too bad that I wasnt in it,cause then Id maybe have a chance to get resurrected"...What a Christlike attitude...lol
