  Gotta get this out today.

  i don't know where to begin to say what is all bottled up inside me.

  i may need to be on another forum, but i have come to respect the posts and input of so many here, and trust.....so it may be jumbled, and may take starting a few topics to fully get it out.. i have already posted about my youngest brother committing suicide.

  i have another brother also.. my mother divorced my father i am guessing when i was five or six.

  Wow, Purps, that is a load to carry. To find out what you thought was true all your life is a lie is soul-shaking for everyone. I hope your brother is getting good counsel, including dealing with alcohol. With that strong a family history of suicide, it seems dangerous to add alcohol to the mix, but self-medication is so common. And then your mom playing the role of the admirable pioneer must really push his buttons--any yours. I have no profound advise, but much empathy for the roller coaster insanity of a family with skeletons. Hang in there, and just be glad that your life (and your kids) won't have this trauma. As I am so fond of saying, it stops with our generation. HUGS!

  Funny, my first answer that came to mind was TALLER (I'm 5 ft) and skinnier (I'm #150). Then reading other's answers got me thinking of deeper, more altruistic improvements--ability to heal on touch, wisdom to always say the 'right' thing, maybe a way to peek into the future( i.e. if I make this decision, the results will be...)

  How about a way to have a 'buzz' without any chemical, and turn it on and off at will?

  But TALL and THIN .... WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

  I need a new bible

  i still own my new world translation bible and i really would like to buy a new bible.

  there are so many translations out there i don't know which one to get.

  any advice?.

  I got a cool parallel bible at 'Christian Book Distributors'. It's got King James, NIV, Living, and American Standard all in columns so you can read the scripture from all these sources. 'The Message' is fun to read (It is a paraphrased bible with idioms common in the US) My very first non-witness bible was NIV. (New International Version)

  Special Assembly 2-Day 2,000 delegates and TWO baptisms!

  just got back from the special one day assembly and had to share this important info.

  only two baptisms today; two girls about 15-16 out of 2,000 attendees.. i stumbled more than two with my anti-witnessing.

  i posted un expose material in the bathrooms along with pre and post nov 1995 1914 generation belief.. incidentally, attendance was down almost 25% over last year as well.

  Thanks to everyone for the kind words and prayers. I got through it. I am confident it was the right thing to do for Spunky, and the timing was right--after she died, we looked in her mouth and wondered how she could eat at all with that tumor in her throat. Poor baby. She went down fighting tooth and nail, too. Literally. And I had sedated her first. My heart hurt.

  I have a "replacement kitty" that came into our home about a year ago, and he immediately moved into Spunky's spot on my bed.

  I felt even worse about the cat with my mom and dad failing, too. Somehow the grief all gets tangled together.

  My brother flew home from out of state to help with my folks, and I was able to get through the business with the cat without being responsible for Mom's care, too. I needed a little opportunity for a meltdown. I'm a emergency room nurse, and a pretty good one, if I say so myself. I can handle a lot of awful stuff, but I was on absolute overload. Bless my brother's heart!

  Tomorrow at 2 p.m. central daylight time (same as eastern) I have the appointment to put her down. I would appreciate prayers and good thoughts. I've had her 6 months longer than predicted. She's still getting around, eating some and interacting, but she had a bad episode Sunday. That's enough.

  Plus my mom fell again on Tuesday and broke her other shoulder (the first one isn't quite healed) so life is complicated right now............ Thanks all.
